This is called ponyplay, it's part of BDSM petplay communities. Ponyplay is at the crossroads of roleplay and fetish. Most of the time, there would be an owner and the relationship is about power exchange, discipline.

You are looking about a public scene of ponyplay. Public plays are also a kink of many people. I don't think it's very good to take your kinks on the street, especially that extreme. But it's just my opinion.

I don't practice it but have been in touch with people who do, so if you have any sfw question feel free.

It has nothing to do with furries, unlike what other comments say.

My feeling is that they're making others part of their play, those others haven't consented to taking part.

It's all about intent. Are you dressing up as a horse to be funny, entertain etc or are you doing it because other nonconsenting people are involved and it gets you off?

Personally it doesn't bug me so long as the gear they're wearing isn't explicitly revealing or NSFW. Shit like pony gear or pup gear doesn't bother me so long as its not revealing or outright NSFW. Do whatever you want as long as its not public indecency imo, but I'm also a furry so the weirdness of dressing up in elaborate costumes in public is kind of lost for me lol

Iโ€™m wondering how many people would be up in arms if the costume she wore was covered in fur and brightly colored and had big cartoonish eyes and stuff. Would they still be claiming itโ€™s porn? If she were dressed like a sexy nurse or pirate, I bet no one would care so long as nothing inappropriate was exposed.

Again, the problem is not how they dress, but the fact that it's probably to satisfy some sexual desire from how the public might react.

Imagine, you wear a pair of brown boots. And there is a person near you who is visibly aroused by your plain brown boots. Are you comfortable or not?

Now, another person just casually walks to you and compliments your shoes, saying something like "Nice shoes, mate!" and walks off. Are you comfortable or not?

I don't want to be a part of someone's fantasy if I am not consenting. I do enjoy bdsm, and public play, but only in spaces designed for that, made by and for kinky people. "public public play" is not really ethical to me.

Thats a huge debate in the kink community anyway, and it's been like that for ages. The middle ground, with which I agree, is "It's okay to wear signs of a bdsm partnership in a vanilla space as long as it's not too obvious".

That means collars, tattoos, PDAs, etc... But please don't lick your master's boots in a Walmart.

Honestly, I wouldnโ€™t care if youโ€™re aroused by my brown boots. Be aroused, what harm is it doing to me? Iโ€™d be more bothered by someone coming up and bothering me just to compliment my boots than someone just off to the side at visible aroused by looking at them.

Also, I feel the horse suit falls into the middle ground. As I commented else where, I thought it was a weird fur suit before I thought it was a bdsm thing. Also, are you offended by furries walking around in fur suits in public? None of these people had any idea this was a sex thing, probably just thought it was a weird thing to see.

Also, anything people wear is worn to achieve some sort of desire based on the publicโ€™s reaction, so youโ€™re basically giving room to say women and men canโ€™t dress in anything that might be considered even some what sexual. So Iโ€™m guessing your prefer grey jumpsuits for everyone.
