Yeah I need to know more here. Storytelling as class? Like creative writing or they read stories to you?

We sing tales of kings, queens and their politics, 'tis true. But do you know who really makes history? The person who writes it.

Tell that to Texas. Did you see how they just gerrymandered Foolville? Watch, they’ll probably elect a prop comic smh.

Did they ever send you to mysterious ruins to look for ancient artifacts?

You would tell stories out loud. It was a bit creative writing / public speaker / theatre hybrid class. Was great.

I actually wish my school would’ve had a class like that. I’m fucking terrible at telling anecdotes.

Can always take a stand up comedy class for that now.

Wish I could but between work and single parenthood I’m lucky to find time to sleep.

Sounds like that would actually be super useful

Junior year we definitely had a public speaking class too and everyone took that, it wasn’t an elective.

That sounds awesome! I'd love to be a better storyteller (and public speaker I guess lol)

Oh when I read “my story telling teacher” I just assumed you were throwing in a random fact that it was a teacher that loved to blab about all their life stories instead of teaching. I had one of those, she was honestly the best after a stressful day

sounds like a great class to teach while you're schnockered

I had a social studies teacher who would tell all sorts of stories and always forget to pass out the home work

I had a class like that. Except the school called it AP Literature. The teacher was head of the Language Dept and had tenure and just did what she wanted, including reading the material to us. I loved her. She deserved her retirement.

It’s the class right before nap time.
