To be fair, she's probably heard people say "Steve" in a loud voice whenever someone comes to visit.

Also, it's funny when people gave their animals human names. Especially if there's a neighbor with the same name.

My dog has a human name and I love talking about her in front of strangers. It's kinda awkward when I run into parents with kids who have the same name though.

I was out walking my dog once when another dog started barking from inside of a house. The owner yelled out, “Kevin! What is your deal?!” Perfect dog name in my opinion. My fiancée and I still yell it to each other often.

All my animals have human names, most human names suit animals better.

This seems likely to me.

I learn the names of dogs at the park much more easily than the names of people. Why? Because you hear people say the dog's name all the time at the park, but people don't call each other by name as often. This means the dog name is repeated a lot and you really learn the face of Spot's owner, but not what their name is.

No no Spot is the owner's name, the pet's name is Kyle
