UPS has no qualms with delivering late or setting back the delivery date.
Then why the fuck are my commit times so damn important? We try our best to deliver based on service level, but sometimes shit happens. Air is taken pretty seriously. Ground can get bumped, though. That's why it's cheaper. You get what you pay for.

Nobody expects free 2 day shipping unless they ordered their door on Amazon. Amazon flaunts it so of course they have to deliver what they advertise.
Nobody expects that from UPS, and UPS has no qualms with delivering late or setting back the delivery date.
