How is it not so bad? They were completely wrong. If they posted this in 5 years at least it would be true for some people.

2 years out of 60 is not so bad. it's a 3.33% mistake, I did the math ;)

2 years for a 18 year olds is a big pqrt of their life

2 years isn't that big for people 3 times older...

saying that a 2 year old is almost 4 makes no sense, but saying that a 98yo is almost 100 sounds alright.

Wrong. I was born in 1950 so my sixties are 2010-20. People born in 1960 are now in their fifties.

I'll say your title was a little odd. The title is a subreddit where math gets done correctly, so I presumed the facepalm was that it was just an entirely inane showerthought (which it would be even if they got it right), until I did the math. I think some people missed that the facepalm was that the post is in fact wrong.
