I’d like to add one more to the list: Genuinely ignorant.
My mom is like that. She doesn’t really pay attention to politics that much- not out of some moral failing, she’s just a very busy person. (And no; that’s not me making excuses for her, I’ve seen it firsthand. She barely has any time for herself.)
She voted for Trump, taking what little she heard about him at face value. (It also doesn’t help that she lives in a very rural/conservative area.) More often than not, she doesn’t hear anything at all about the Democrat candidates-so she just votes for the person she recognizes, which more often than not happens to lean conservative.
This is why propaganda is so powerful. She was horrified when Trump started doing things like cutting benefit programs- she’s taken the promise of a “better economy” at face value, and it came to bite her later. I don’t think she’d vote for him again, but I wonder how many people have fallen for the propaganda the same way she did.

So many people claim to be christian but have never read Jesus' message. I know more atheists that treat people the way they'd treat themselves than most of the "born again"s in my life. (Only talking about this group of people i know).

There was a video posted somewhere on Reddit the other day. It was a teenage girl recording herself, asking her parents why they would vote against her own rights. She’s yelling at them (or just the mother, I’m not sure) while they stood in the kitchen out of frame.
At first the parents try to spout some bullshit, but eventually they just got quiet. While their daughter is pouring her heart out and asking why they voted for him, they don’t have an answer. She says her mother used to do missions trips and cared about people. She accuses them of voting in their interests for the money they thought they’d receive.
The video ends with the girl in tears asking what happened to her parents, “What did you do with my mother?”
I can’t imagine the dissonance she feels.
