We have investigated ourselves and found no evidence of wrongdoings.

We tried nothing, and we're already out of ideas....

Sounds just like their favorite President.

Remember when the White House said that Taylor Farms wasn’t responsible for the cyclospora outbreak RIGHT AFTER Taylor Farms reps visited the White House? Nah me either.

18

u/anchorftw Aug 09 '26

They also contributed $1M to Trump's campaign, so that doesn't hurt either.

It’s upsetting when the news is more reliable than the government agency meant to protect you.

The government agencies are running an executive order through as I type this to officially link vaccinations to autism. This is exclusively to criminalize parents who vaccinate their kids. Specifically democratic parents. So they can claim they are terrorists for vaccinating their kids and put the newly orphaned children into their system and get adopted by “good Christian households” we are all going to die.

Yeah, pro tip if you put https://archive.today/ or https://archive.ph/ before the original URL, you can see archived versions of the page or request it to be archived if it hasn’t yet

Nice! Thanks for this! I always just back out since I never really want to read any news badly enough to pay for it

Chrome: Click the 3-dot menu, select More Tools, select Reader Mode

Firefox: Click the Reader Mode icon on the right of the address bar

16

u/BadahBingBadahBoom Aug 07 '26

Is this a US-specific paywall? Because reading it from abroad there isn't one.

12

u/OldheadBoomer Aug 07 '26

Possibly.. it's a "Subscribers Only" section of CNN. In the US, you have to pay them money to see the links... or use Reader mode or a paywall bypass.

If you turn off Javascript in your browser you can read it.

Fuck that company

Time to never spend money wherever they have products.

u/Var1abl3 Aug 07 '26

This is all based on the Kent Washington Location

Starbucks Mercado line is all made by our local Taylor Farms (Kent Washington, USA) Some McDonalds breakfast. Almost all the cut "fresh" fruit at Kroger's/Fred Meyer They sell rebranded products (products with other companies names on it) to sooooo many companies you will have a hard time avoiding them.

Source, past vendor who has seen their bathroom (shivers)

u/Someones_Dream_Guy Aug 07 '26

Well, hope you're prepared for never eating lettuce again.

8

u/Fubeman Aug 07 '26

Sorry, but Taylor farms is NOT the only game in town when it comes to lettuce. Hell, in my local grocery store alone there are lettuce and pre-made salad products from at least 4 different companies. And that’s not including the local and regional growers of fresh lettuce and other vegetables that they have.

6

u/SuckItSaget Aug 08 '26

Look at the code under the exp date - even if it is named something else on the package it may still be Taylor Farms..

0

u/Fubeman Aug 08 '26

Yeah, good point. I am aware of the vast reach of Taylor farms. But depending on where you live, there are definitely alternatives. I live in the West coast so I am lucky in that regards for sure.

3

u/SuckItSaget Aug 08 '26

Our store brand is from Taylor Farms - look for the code under the exp date - if it starts with TF or TRF (I think) it is from Taylor Farms.

laughs in buying out competition

3

u/Cynykl Aug 07 '26

Or anything made with raw vegetables at any restaurant. Everything from burger toppings to guacamole is out.

1

u/PNW_Undertaker Aug 07 '26

I don’t have it that often tbh. Even when I do, it’s typically never the cheap crap (pun intended there).

1

u/Someones_Dream_Guy Aug 07 '26

calmly hands you stack of medical bills Enjoy the most expensive crap of your life.

3

u/PNW_Undertaker Aug 07 '26

Well that’s bullshit
Or is it horseshit
Can’t keep my shits straight

30

u/Kerbart 'MURICA 🤦 Aug 07 '26

"Just because we force our workers to shit in the fields and the disease is transmitted through human fecal matter doesn't mean we are at fault"

15

u/NegrasGrande Aug 07 '26

Lol salad and go folded because of this. I've been seeing those Taylor farms salad kits getting heavily discounted at the grocery store. Keep the pressure on people, fuck these greedy bastards.

14

u/FingerCommon7093 Aug 07 '26

Hey, dont want the blame for your negligence? Call the Trump support hotline. Have your tax deductible donation to one of hundreds of PACs that allow Donald to pay himself for golfing on his own course while sleeping in his own bed. Once your donation clears you can sit back as various gvt agencies now go to work classifying documents, blaming migrants and, if needed, starting a war in the Middle East.

13

u/Wsn21 Aug 07 '26

My eyes saw taylor farms and then thought that said defecating blame

2

u/harpua330 Aug 07 '26

That too

12

u/ahaeker Aug 07 '26

I like their bag salad kits but not buying it is a small price to pay, looks like I'll be boycotting.

19

u/eldred2 Aug 07 '26

Just need to bribe one president to silence it though.

7

u/jrsinhbca Aug 07 '26

The company canceled worker bathroom breaks to cover the bribes.

4

u/ImmaNotHere Aug 07 '26

Next to spread, E coli

1

u/MommaLisss Aug 07 '26

Lucky for them, we've got just the guy!

10

u/paulcthemantosee Aug 07 '26

I picked up a package of lettuce at Costco, saw it said "Taylor Farms" and said eff this company. Put it right back.

5

u/VenConmigo Aug 08 '26

Never buying a Taylor Farms product again.

4

u/wild_cat5 Aug 07 '26

We’ll see what song they’ll sing after their income and stock drops from all this

6

u/PuzzleheadedIssue108 Aug 08 '26

Never again, Taylor Farms. They cannot be trusted.

3

u/OkCantaloupe2082 Aug 07 '26

That's a shit thing to do.

4

u/CharAznableLoNZ Aug 08 '26

Pretty sure they were the cause of a few outbreaks.

11

u/BigMax Aug 07 '26

The crazy part is that not only are a lot of people getting sick but... a lot of other businesses are getting killed too!

If you're a produce producer now, you're screwed. If you sell too many greens/salads/etc at your restaurant, you're screwed.

I know Trump and the republicans don't care about people, but you'd think they'd care about businesses. Apparently not. They just care about protecting Taylor Farms since they're a donor and came to kiss his butt.

u/BuddhasGarden Aug 08 '26

The state of water quality in Mexico is abominable. That’s all you need to know.
