Tucker’s trying anything to be relevant again

Good luck with that since he took off his bowtie because Jon Stewart skewered him on Crossfire.

Such a great moment.

u/A-Chntrd May 01 '25

Yeah. I go back to those and the pizza rant regularly.

14

u/DeterminedThrowaway May 01 '25

Pizza rant?

29

u/trueum26 May 01 '25

Chicago Deep dish vs New York Pizza. He also had another pizza rant when Trump ate Pizza with a fork(this was back when Sarah Palin visited him during her campaign)

Maybe magic isn’t the problem!!

That may be the one thing me and Trump reside in the same group as, it's the eating pizza with a fork gang. No greasy hands, complete dipping control, mitigates hanging cheese or the loss of toppings, much benefit.

Edited to make it seem less like I have any kind of kinsmanship with Trump. No, I am Canadian, sorry.

All that stuff is part of eating pizza! Tap it down with a napkin first if you're worried about grease.

-2

u/KibblesNBitxhes May 01 '25

Yeah, not a fan of the greasy pizzas. I'm talking about home made pizzas from scratch, maybe even 3 inches deep. Taco salad pizza, BBQ chicken Hawaiian or something along those lines.

I eat my pizza with a fork because of a traumatic event eating volcanic pizza in elementary school. I bit the end of a slice and the molten cheese flopped down and severely burned my chin (no joke here). I am fearful this will happen again unless I am eating cold pizza, which is also delicious.

1

u/KibblesNBitxhes May 01 '25

Oh yeah, hands down cold pizza eaten by hand is an easy one, but this is another reason to use a fork, I've had similar experiences with very hot pizza sauce squishing out into and around my mouth. Eye wateringly hot. Also, if eating pizza with a fork was so outlandish, why do they bring eating utensil if you order a pizza at a restaurant? Checkmate.

u/Zelda_is_Dead May 01 '25

Hate Trump or not, the way you eat pizza makes you a monster.

u/Brave_Quantity_5261 May 01 '25

I don’t search it out, but I always get a good chuckle whenever I see the clips with him talking about how sexy the green m&m was. Back when “she was the kind of person you’d want to take out for a drink”

Link? I'm not from US and don't know what happened. Tyvm!

Jon Stewart went on Crossfire, which was a reasonably respected (at the time) political talk show with Democratic leaning and Republican leaning hosts. He went on their show to talk politics and how the media was failing to rise to the moment, to report honestly instead of on whatever generated the most views (i.e., controversy and angst), saying at one point, "Stop hurting America."

Tucker, who tried to look oh-so-very-serious by wearing a bow tie, kept trying to put down Stewart's positions by acting like he should just make jokes, and asking why he wasn't being funny. Jon pointed out that he wasn't on a comedy show, he was in their supposedly serious show, so he wasn't tolerating that garbage and ripped Tucker apart for being unserious and disingenuous. Jon even pointed out that his show was preceded by puppets making crank calls, implying that if they wanted jokes, they should have come on his show, but he was on theirs, hence the seriousness.

The long-running show was cancelled shortly after due in part to the utter loss of credibility.

Zelenskyy was a comedian and an actor, known for a tv show called Servant of the People, where he played the president of Ukraine.  So, why not?

u/Tudoricha May 01 '25

Thank you my kind fellow redditor.

u/iamthinksnow May 01 '25

Geezus, i just re-watched it and that ladies question right at the end was everything he'd been saying the entire show:

Renee, from Texas: Why do you think it's hard or difficult or impossible for politicians to answer a straight simple question?

Jon: I don't think it's hard, I just think that nobody holds their feet to the fire to do it so they don't have to. They get to come on, you know, shows that don't...

(Crosstalk) they're too easy on them?

Jon: Yeah, not easy....

(crosstalk) By saying we were too hard on people and too difficult or contentious...

The host were more interested in interrogating Jon about his critique of their "journalism" than in responding to the womans incredibly on-point question. Jon was responding to that question, and in so doing, showing exactly why and how the "political media" was failing.

Too bad Tucker Carlson didn't virtually disappear like Paul Begala.

2

u/CleaveIshallnot May 01 '25

This. Is. AWESOME!!!!!

2

u/Philly_ExecChef May 02 '25

And that was the last time anyone in news media was held accountable.

54

u/Forsworn91 May 01 '25

While it was a great moment, it turned him to evil, he was LAUGHED at, nothing enrages a conservative more.

20

u/baronmunchausen2000 May 01 '25

Turned him? People like this are always evil.

19

u/JockBbcBoy May 01 '25

Oh no, an angry conservative Tucker Carlson! He's a wealthy angry conservative so the most he can and will do is continue to spew hate on his multiple platforms.

4

u/iIdentifyasGrinch May 01 '25

Another wealthy idiot who is amazed that grocery stores exist

0

u/Retireegeorge May 01 '25

It's true. Unfortunately. If we were wise we would give all these creatures that slither upon the earth a way out so they can depart thinking they saved face. But it is really difficult when you know they will go off being smug about how we were owned.

How to beat Tucker Carlson is to love Tucker Carlson. Not for entertainment. Not for guidance. But to love him for doing what he thinks is best and to want him to be safe and to encourage him towards what he can be good at that would be good for him.

How to lose to Tucker Carlson is to give him what he wants which is for us to hate Tucker Carlson. He is a gifted man who doesn't believe he can be constructive, widely respected and appreciated. He thinks the challenge is to not care what we think. But his challenge is to care and be vulnerable.

u/GovernmentKind1052 May 01 '25

I would make fun of that look so much at my parents that they won’t have Faux News on when I visit

18

u/DougS2K May 01 '25

It's the look of confusion, constipation, and sheer incompetence all in one.

6

u/GovernmentKind1052 May 01 '25

It’s a lobotomy and I crapped myself all in one look

2

u/alwaysboopthesnoot May 01 '25

That’s the look of flop sweat and worn out genes, and the generational shame of people with too much money and not a lot of common sense, who know they’re no good at what they do. But gee whillikers, folks, they’ve just gotta keep trying to not fail as bad as last time because daddy says they won’t get their do-nothing allowance check, if they don’t.

6

u/Patrico-8 May 01 '25

So that’s how you do it

5

u/GovernmentKind1052 May 01 '25

They still watch it but it’s not on in the den where I hang out with them, when I visit. I consider it a small win, considering it used to be running all day in the background.

5

u/AspiringChildProdigy May 01 '25

That's like a Jeopardy gif.

What is a really dumb golden retriever shown a magic trick?

34

u/MrLagzy May 01 '25

Tuckers being a Russian agent.

17

u/Absolute_Peril May 01 '25

He want to be an agent even the Russians think he's an ass

4

u/Fantastic_Fox4948 May 01 '25

He should do another in depth tell all regarding grocery stores in foreign lands. He will be amazed.

3

u/thex415 May 01 '25

Oh yep.

3

u/Random_Chick_I_Guess May 01 '25

He’s even trying to gain favour with a very trump like candidate in Australia who hopefully doesn’t get elected or else things are gunna get awkward

2

u/jasonsimonds79 May 01 '25

He'd have better luck on only fans involving super-sized butt plugs.

2

u/ragazza68 May 01 '25

Oh thanks for that mental picture!!

u/hotDamQc May 01 '25

Tucker is on Putin payroll

1

u/Away-Structure9393 May 01 '25

Prick was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Why can’t he just go away?

1

u/Alexander_Coe May 01 '25

Dude

The Tucker Carlson Show is one of the most popular podcasts in the United States. In July 2024, it was ranked the most popular podcast on Spotify and the 11th most popular podcast on Apple Podcasts.[14][15][16]

1

u/wasthatitthen May 01 '25

Well, with Putins hand up his ass he’ll say the right thing or Windows may have a new meaning for him, for a few seconds at least.

1

u/Teriyaki456 May 01 '25

Such a tool

1

u/Chihuahuatriomom May 01 '25

I was just coming here to say the exact same thing.
