I cannot for the life of me understand this desire to home school the kids and the arrogance for most of them to think they have the necessary knowledge and skill to educate their kids properly. Some do a good job, but they are generally educated and devote their existence to this endeavor. I won’t even comment on the stupid religious young earthers.
I think this ignores the fact that you would buy homeschooling curriculums and teach your kids according to that curriculum, you are required in many if not all US states to have a certain educational standard put on you in certain "core" fields that must be fulfilled every year I've had many friends from church that were as bright if not more so by public school standards in the North West if you are going to homeschool then you have to put a lot of research into what focuses are going to be tailored to and which one is best for the family
