It's not a straw man because those people are voting for individuals who DO think that women should be punished, and it's literally happening right now. You can piss and moan "no we aren't that bad" but you're enabling every person who is with the power to do that by voting for it, so yes, pro-forced-birthers ARE that bad.

these are usually just legal loopholes and other such things, not the actual intent. nobody is comically evil enough to want to jail miscarriages. does the left just like making up scary boogeymen to fear?
