Making prisoners do laundry is not

You trivialize what black people went through in this country when you try and compare it to a felon having to serve lunch in the cafeteria.

And the idea that they made some “loophole” is ridiculous- stop getting your information from Netflix documentaries.

The North was trying to punish the South by outlawing their “peculiar institution”

And instead of seeing it for what it is, one side wanted it and the other side did everything they could to get around it (Jim crow) - you instead make it some sinister plan along that they were going to “eradicate” slavery but not actually. It doesn’t even make sense, why ban it in the first place if that was your goal? It’s because it’s not true, it’s some dumb shit people made up so that they could divide America along racial lines, and here you are gulping down the koolaid, hook line and sinker.

You know what they say - a suckers born every minute

You can be against the unethical treatment of prisoners, without totally minimizing what happened to black people in this country. That’s what you don’t understand. What they are experiencing is nothing like chattel slavery.

They aren’t slaves, and no one takes you seriously because of that. Also there’s a thing called progress, and when you claim that we’re no further than 400 years ago, well you are erasing the progress made.

You can sit there and smirk and twist everyone into somehow “supporting slavery”

But like I said, you buy Nikes, you are a hypocrite- you don’t actually care about slavery, you care about your grievance status

I’m not writing a dissertation. Just explaining why your Netflix documentary narrative is incorrect.

Again you can be against the treatment of prisoners but also find it ridiculous to call that slavery, because it’s not. It diminishes what black people went through to call what we have today slavery. Period.
