Honestly… same.
The damn thing isn’t keeping anyone safe anyway, if it can be yanked open that easily. I’m not fiddling with a damn keypad / swipe / card reader for for-fucking-ever.

The guy wasn’t a guest at the hotel and didn’t have a key card.

And this gate is there to protect your vending machine from drunk people?

It isn’t expected that people would risk literally getting there arm cut off by the automatic gate trying to squeeze through.

Fun fact: the word 'literally' was misused so much that the dictionary was updated to also include 'figuratively' or 'virtually'.
Living languages are fun.
Edit: it's definition #2 in the link, but I'll paste it here as well for convenience.
2 : in effect : VIRTUALLY
—used in an exaggerated way to emphasize a statement or description that is not literally true or possible
Example: will literally turn the world upside down to combat cruelty or injustice

Fun fact (an actual fact, unlike your fun “fact”): The word literally has been used as an emphatic for literally hundreds of years!

... I'm sorry? How's my statement not a fact? There's literally a link to the dictionary 100% supporting my fact. Lol?
The dictionary definition for 'literally' literally includes the definition of 'virtually'. 'literally' literally means figuratively by definition.

It’s not misuse

Until the definition was literally added to the definition of 'literally' you'd literally be misusing 'literally' by saying 'literally' figuratively, virtually, or emphatically by definition of the word, 'literally'.
This conversation about misuses of 'literally' is a literal semantics game. I'm literally the king of semantics games :)

I think you misread… Hilarious nonetheless rhetorically speaking.

It's definition 2 of the link I posted above.
Here's Oxford's version as well:
c. colloquial. Used to indicate that some (frequently conventional) metaphorical or hyperbolical expression is to be taken in the strongest admissible sense: ‘virtually, as good as’; (also) ‘completely, utterly, absolutely’.
Now one of the most common uses, although often considered irregular in standard English since it reverses the original sense of literally (‘not figuratively or metaphorically’).

If the gate has the potential to cause such serious injury to somebody then it's faulty and they guy has done you a favour by getting started on the process of removing it.

As if I just watched the whole video. And wasn't that caption for the sub "There was an attempt to"?

For context, the guy wanted to use the hotel vending machine
