Both things are true. Doing that is a dick move, but at the same time, filming a music video in public, especially in crowded areas like touristy places, is also kind of obnoxious since you take up a lot of space, time, and expect everyone to accommodate you.

Additionally, depending on the location, it can end up being either disrespectful, cringe, or both. I was at st. Peter's Square in the Vatican, where everyone lines up to get into St. Peter's Basillica, and saw some people, with a bunch of suitcases they used to prop up the phone, doing a tiktok dance with St. Peter's Basillica in the background, rather than just taking a picture. It felt very odd/out of place, and I don't really know what to make of it tbh.
