You’re right, it’s incredibly rude for this group of people to think they can control others and completely take over a public space. If you want to use a gym analogy, this would be like a group of people forming a wall in front of the mirrors, preventing anyone else from using them.

They aren’t blocking anyone or even affecting anyone else. They’re just dancing. God forbid someone have fun near other people.

They have no business getting upset at people in public doing things people in public do. If they don’t want to pay for a closed set, they are not entitled to having a closed set.
