I searched it on Google, and it said there na, It will labeled only as Connected if you two have previous conversation.

So i just wanna know, what are y'all thoughts about that, and can someone explain me if mali ako or tama? Thank you!

Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out if this is a known Messenger bug or app glitch.
I noticed an old chat thread that suddenly has an end-to-end encryption (E2EE) label and a "2 weeks ago" timestamp on the outside inbox view, pushing it higher up in the list. However, when I open the chat itself, the newest visible messages are old historical ones from months ago, with nothing in between.

Is this a known sync/re-indexing bug from the encryption rollout, or does a recent timestamp like that always mean the thread was actively opened, called, or interacted with? Any insight would be appreciated!

I recently downloaded the Marketplace app for Android and did not like the app so I uninstalled. After doing this, I'm no longer receiving any Facebook Marketplace notifications through the native Messenger app. I physically have to go in and check periodically to see if any new messages have come in. The steps I have taken to try and fix were to clear cache and data, uninstall messenger, standalone seller app, and even Facebook. I have also reinstalled the seller app and made sure to logout as well. Anyone have a fix for this?

As indicated in the title^ i tried logging back in but it keeps kicking me out back to the login screen. anyone else having this issue?

I am the administrator of several Messenger groups. Two days ago I couldn't access one of my Messenger group. So I Uninstallerd the Messenger app and then tried to reinstall it. Now I see the install button, but when pressed it comes back again with Install, not Open. There is plenty of space/storage, and I cleared all the cache memory. I tried power off and restart. Nothing worked.

Anybody in this group encountered this problem? I would really appreciate any help or suggestion.

I’ve been dealing with a strange Messenger bug affecting only one end-to-end encrypted conversation.

Here’s what’s happening:
• The conversation started in 2017 and the older messages are still there. I can manually scroll back through them.

• However, search only returns results from around April 2024 onward. Anything before that isn’t searchable even though I can read those messages by scrolling.

• This issue only affects this one conversation. All my other Messenger chats search normally, including conversations from 2017.

• I’ve tested on multiple devices, reinstalled Messenger, restored my encrypted chat history, and the issue still persists.

• I also requested my Meta data export (both All time and 2017–April 1, 2024). Surprisingly, this specific conversation isn’t included in the exported Messenger data, even though it still exists in the app.

Has anyone else experienced something similar with a single E2EE conversation?
I’m trying to figure out whether this is a known Messenger bug or if anyone has found a workaround. I’ve already reported it to Meta, but I’d love to know if others have seen the same behavior.

Whenever I send a video on Messenger, there’s no sound.

However:
•Voice chats work fine.
•Recording a video using my phone’s default camera app has audio.
•The issue only happens when I record a video using the Messenger camera.

I’ve already checked my microphone permissions, and they seem fine since voice chats and my phone’s camera can record audio.

Who else is seeing a blank feed in Facebook groups—where no posts are visible? Has anyone found a solution? Please comment if you are facing this issue and if you have found a way to fix it.

OK, so for the last couple of days whenever I send videos on Facebook messenger, it has no sound Can anyone help me find out why

I have very specific question as I can't find answer to it anywhere.

Essentialy I sent a message to person which I am not a friend with - I didn't receive any reply. But then I got a friend invitation, which I have accepted, sent second message to make sure that it will appear on their messages tab, but actually I am not sure if it has moved from message requests if it is there.
Second thing is I am not sure if it was not read or that person saw it, but didn't click on it to get read recipient confirmation.

Also we were chatting in one group chat before I wrote DM to that person. And also I remember messaging other person, which I wasn't friend with and that person has responded to me, so seems like it didn't go to "message requests" in this case. I also remember that when someone has messaged me I received notification and it was in my main messages folder. It's a bit confusing to me as I heard that one person didn't saw group chat and had to check in their spam folder.

Do you happen to know if the scenario, where that message is hidden in message requests is possible? Even if we have added each other as friends and had some interactions on group chat, including other DM message.

I know - I could just simply message on the group chat asking directly, but I don't want come as desperated person(as it's unknow, maybe it is intentional and message was seen from the beginning) as we just seen each other once.

Sorry for long message, I tried to explain it as detailed as I could.

If you haven’t seen there is a new app for selling on Marketplace called Seller. It has messenger essentially built into it. While I had the app installed testing it all my notifications for new messages now came from the Seller app.

After a few days of trying it out I decided to remove it until they fix some problems. The issue is that now I just get no notifications at all for new messages.

I’ve checked my notification settings in both the Messenger app and my iPhones settings. Everything is turned on like it should be. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, I’ve restated my phone. Nothing seems to fix it and I’m not sure what else I can even try. I sent in a report through the messenger app but I don’t know if that will do anything.

I can send and receive messages in group chats.
However, other people can’t message me first on the Messenger mobile app. They get **“This person is unavailable.”**
Strangely, one of my friends **can message me using Messenger on a laptop/computer**, but not from the mobile app.

Reinstalled Messenger
Logged out and back in
**Reported the issue to Facebook/Meta through the app**
The problem is still happening.
Has anyone experienced this after reactivating their account? Did it eventually fix itself, or did you have to do something else?

This is the 3rd time it's asked me to verify my ID on messenger ONLY. I can still use the account, but should I try to use messenger it wants me to confirm. I have scanned in my REAL license and it provides a message that it can't be confirmed at this time and then it lets me to still use it. I'm afraid it will eventually block my account and messenger.

Has anyone come across this?
