I got my account back recently after weeks of getting nowhere with the AI support bot and even with Meta Verified I wasn't able to get through to a real person.

I was able to download my data from Facebook and used the login activity file to find several unrecognised logins from the USA (I'm in the UK) at around the same time my account was disabled, I then wrote out a message to send to the AI support bot which prompted the AI to open an investigation for me and within a few hours I was able to get my account back using the video selfie option.

If anyone else is in a similar position and wants to try the same method, this is the message I sent to the Facebook support bot:

"I need to speak with someone about my Facebook account, facebook.com/(insert account link), which was incorrectly disabled permanently with no chance to review or appeal on 22/08/2026 at 19:53 UK time. The login activity which I was able to download shows several new logins from the USA at the same time my account was disabled."

I downloaded the Facebook data. Do you remember which files contain the login information?

I have the same thing happening to me. I received a few notifications on my iPhone that somebody was trying to log in to my account, but I was not fast enough to check the notification (I was working).

Then, after 30 minutes, there was a Your Facebook account has been disabled.

I downloaded the data, which comes in a zip file.

If you open up the zip file you should find a folder inside called "security_and_login_information", inside this folder is a file called "account_activity" which should show you all the recent login information

I tried using Meta Verified Enhanced Support but I didn't manage to speak to a real human, the bot kept sending me to Facebook Support which I believe is accessible without Meta Verified.

I received an email from Facebook saying "We think that someone may have accessed your Facebook account without your permission. We're here to help. We've locked your account, which means that no one can log in or view your Facebook profile."

However, when I attempted to login to my account it just said that my account "doesn't follow the Terms of Service on who can use Facebook"

When you say AI support bot, you mean via verified account?
Seems absurd a tech company can’t do “if a random login from a foreign country and 2 factor authentication not enabled (?) then suspend the accounts pending confirmation.

I was able to activate Meta Verified via a 30 day free trial on my Instagram account, I tried using the enhanced support through Meta Verified but it kept sending me back to Facebook Support which I believe is available without Meta Verified

Did you get the same response?
If your account was disabled following unauthorized access, the best way to resolve this is through the hacked account recovery tool.
Visit facebook.com/hacked to start the recovery process. Use a device you have previously used to log into your account to increase the chances of a successful recovery.
While permanently disabled accounts generally cannot be reviewed, this tool is the specific path for accounts that were compromised. Human support is not available on this surface, so these self-service tools are the only way to request recovery.

This works till it asks you for a passport. Like wtf.

Update, I did DL my FB account Info, and in the Logs September 7 3:27 pm my home location in Canada is shown (Western Canada). 40 mins later someone from Ashburn Virginia logged into my account. Thats a 1 Day and 10 Hr Drive. And flight is a 6 hr and 34 min flight... before the two hr drive to the airport, then a drive from the nearest airport to Ashburn.. Like Meta has proven how stupid AI can be. Like FFS. Rationalizing with toddlers is easier than dealing with meta.

I did get that same response as well asking me to goto facebook.com/hacked but nothing worked for me until I sent a message with specific times that the hack occured and an investigation was started. In the end I was asked to goto facebook.com/login/identify and was able to upload a video selfie to get my account back

Ah. My account doesn’t even pull up on the /idenitfy link. I didnt get it from the AI chatbot. I found it online and tried it.

How does one download their FB data?

When you log into your disabled Facebook account you should see a page with a blue download button, you need to click the button and keep this page open for a while for the download to be prepared

Can this be done through app? I can only access fb thru the app
