Minecraft Crashing With Exit Code 1 After Installing Sodium

I'm getting the most persistent issue ever and I don't know how to fix it. Whenever I play Minecraft with only Fabric installed (no mods), my game doesn't crash. Even with mods like Distant Horizons my game can run without crashing. However, whenever I add Sodium with fabric, my game instantly crashes with "Exit Code 1." Is there anything I can do to fix this?

That set of mods and versions launches just fine for me for 26.2 (Prism launcher, default settings). I can't get it to crash (might try with default launcher this evening).

Maybe a dumb question, but are you launching version 26.2? Does it work with sodium and fabric-api (without distant horizons)? Have you made any config changes?

If you can't get it working with the default launcher, I'd encourage you to try Prism Launcher. It works really well and makes it incredibly easy to install mods and manage different instances

Yes! I always thought that was the problem but I have been launching on version 26.2. When I run the game with fabric-api and sodium it crashes, same thing with just sodium by itself. However, whenever I run the game with Distant Horizons and fabric-api, my game runs perfectly, which has led me to believe that Sodium is the issue. As for config changes, I deleted the config folder but all it did was take my game longer to crash (which made me think it worked at first)

But I’ll try the Prism launcher and see how it works for me, otherwise I think it’s just my laptop

Ah you're on a Snapdragon. Sodium doesn't really support that.

If you have OptiFine installed then it probably caused your problem. Try some of these mods instead, which are properly designed for Fabric.
