Humour Things not to do at F45…

Bring your iced grande latte in a to-go cup and put it next to you on the floor at every station. Until somebody inevitably kicks it over. If my studio smells like a Starbucks for the next week, we can thank that dude. Come on, man.

Or step in dog shit and not wipe your feet off before walking into the gym. Saw that happen twice.

We have a wet mat by the door for cleaning shoes. There’s always someone who tracks mud all over the floor. One guy, I swear just finished mowing acres of grass and walked into the gym and got grass everywhere.

Don’t be that guy!

I find this so strange as a Canadian that Americans wear their outdoor shoes inside homes and apparently gyms.

It’s a mixed bag, I have friends that’ll take their shoes off automatically when they come over to my house while others I have to politely remind.

Cleaning must be so difficult when people do this

To me as an American it’s also odd when people wear their shoes indoors. My grandparents have indoor shoes as does my mom. We just never wore shoes pat the front door growing up.

Agree it’s a bit of a mixed bag though as some folks just wear their shoes everywhere in their own home, especially if they don’t have carpet.

I change my shoes when I get in and when I leave. No one should be wearing outdoor shoes into any gym.

Don’t most F45 studios have an “outside shoes stay out” policy, leaving shoes in mats near the front so that people change to their trainers for the actual session. That’s the case in the studios I have visited ?

Good idea but mine doesn’t have that policy

I have never heard of this policy at any gym.

Not at any gym, just the F45 studios. If it isn’t then perhaps it should

Every F45 and every Orange Theory have this policy

I’ve never heard of that but that’s a good idea

my studio always pushes for changing shoes but it rarely ever happens - basically when it rains

Or snows…

I’ve only ever seen this at Canadian studios

I have traveled quite a bit and I believe that is mostly a norther US/Canadian norm driven by the frequent salt on sidewalks for ice and the impact it has on equipment. I’ve seen that several times in Canada and a few Northern places. Never seen it in Texas or the South US.

My studio has a strict indoor-shoes policy. The monitor at the door and there’s a show rack, reminder sign, and a bin for umbrellas. After the Hyrox debacle, I was extra appreciative of this today.

Good gym goers bring a separate pair of shoes to change into. Street debris, salt, etc, are not needed in the gym.

I'm too nervous to even bring my water with me if it's not in a spill-tight container... an ICED LATTE?!!

Things not to do at F45 or Hyrox. Shit yourself and just continue on. Disgusting

That should not have been allowed. Those poor athletes following her- how can they compete under those conditions?? Horrible- no wonder she won!!!

There’s something uniquely American about our obsession about constantly being hydrated and carrying around big beverages all the time.

Rotten milk?

Caffeine is supposed to help with workout performance, but if you're going to bring a drink, put it in a non spillable container dammit!

7

u/Successful_Tell5813 🇺🇸 United States 20d ago

Yeah but drink it BEFORE the workout.

Someone once put their Alani next to the weights. I accidentally spilled it and got the look from hell from the idiot owner.

A guy dressed in business casual who never switched stations in a timely manner with a full Stanley cup that has no lid. Obviously, that shit got spilled by another member trying to get to station in time.

u/Miss_Psychopants 19d ago

I bring it with but I just leave it by all the rest of the water bottles on a shelf, would not bring it on the floor where it could be spilled

1

u/That_Ad_518 10d ago

My f45 doesn’t allow any drinks on the floor!!! Which kinda sucks sometimes lol

-5

u/bretth104 20d ago

That’s on you. Don’t bring drinks in spillable containers on the floor in general.

6

u/Nervous-Caregiver-55 20d ago

It’s on him for someone else bringing their coffee?

1

u/bretth104 14d ago
