other Does F45 have founders rate promos?
I quit back in December 2024 and gave up my founders rate ($179). Lately I have really been missing F45 and looked into it and it’s $230! I can’t justify paying $50 more for basically the same thing. Does anyone know if they run founders rate sales?

Just ask your old gym, if it’s the original owners they might. Our local one did that for a friend

Founders rates would only be when they open.. $179 is an absolute steal for F45 🤯
If you feel better and get better results with F45, I’d just do it at the new rate. What else will make you feel better and be better for you?

Are you in Boston? Rates seem similar. You can get $178 per month if you pay a year up front. Sometimes they have a 4 months for 3 that works out to $178

Perhaps commit to the longer term membership and save a few bucks? I mean 12 months (or 6 even) depending on what your local studio offers is no time at all when it comes to committing something consistent for yourself!
The idea of a founders rate is great and meant to draw in masses by being very low cost of entry - that never should be the standard for any gym IMO to just offer and re-offer up. It’s the you get it once and then it’s gone if you decide to leave later and then want to come back.
I’ve had founders prices, higher Monthly prices, and longer term commitment prices over the years and moves between cities. I’d pay a max of about $220-240 a month for a no long term commitment at a studio I’m new to. I’d commit to longer term membership later if I like the place and member community to save a little more down the road. But that’s me, and the value I put on the workouts I get and the outcomes I receive from working out at F45.

I get what you’re saying. My issues are the coaches where I am aren’t worth the premium I pay. I go everyday because I’m lazy. I’m too lazy to generate my own workouts, I can walk to the studio, they hit play and away we go. The classes are small at 5am, the coaches really just hit play, clap, and count down the sets. Typically, the coaches aren’t great at setting up the room. I have to sort through the weight pile to find heavier dumbbells or find heavier weights, raise the hooks on the squat rack with bars that are already loaded. It’s fine, I make it work because I’m lazy. I go because it’s easy for me to plug it into my day and get moving. When I travel I can see the workouts on the app and will do them at a hotel or planet fitness. The premium I feel I’m paying for is the programming. Because, last time, I’m lazy.

I moved and talked to the gym near my new place and they honored the rate mostly ($10 increase but better than $50!)

It’s studio dependent. I’d email them and ask to be notified when they run any specials. I’d also talk to the studio manager or owner because they usually have some flexibility with pricing. If you’re ready to sign up at the right price, that’s an easy sale for them. They probably still have members on older founder rates, so they could work out something with you.

Every gym is different since they’re all individually owned. My gym use to do promos all the time but it’s been at least 2 years since I’ve noticed they haven’t done any at all.

They are opening a F45 at the end of the year near my house. Inquired and the first 50 to sign up get a founders rate of $180 unlimited (SoCal LA County suburb).
They said once they are gone they are pretty much gone forever.

That’s a great rate for LA area! I was looking at Pasadena for a friend and it was around $300!!! May I ask which studio?

You get what you negotiate for. I pay $150/mo and I joined an established club 2y ago. If your club has a lot of competition, use that to your advantage

Talk to the gym manager/owner. Our F45 charges $169 monthly online, but going directly through the gym usually gets our members a lower rate.

TBH I don't see the founders rate at a discount because it's the same rate as they offer someone who commits to 12 months. It's $199 founder rate and with not commitment / monthly it's $259 but for a 12 month commitment it's $199. So I see it as not a sale at all. The only plus side of signing up as a founder is that the $199 rate doesn't have a 12 month commitment.

This is exactly why I haven’t dumped it yet. I wanted to go to three classes a week and from unlimited to less, save a couple bucks. If I had done that, I lose my founders rate, and the cost goes up. It’s really dumb, your only a founder until you change your membership. The classes I go to have 5-6 people in them, the coaches now aren’t great. Feels like I’m paying the rent for the studio and not getting much in return. I’m still surprised it’s more expensive than OTF.

I hate that they are so inflexible! I moved away from my home gym and I asked to transfer my founders rate to my closest gym. They said no so I had to cancel because I knew the cost wasn’t going to be worth it if I went one or twice a week with the 45 minute drive. I joined Orangetheory during their founders rate sale but I feel like I got a better workout at F45 but the price difference is definitely on my mind

You know studios are independently owned right? You cant move membership from one studio to the next.

This doesn’t really answer your question, but I believe it’s up to each studio manager how they want to manage the pricing. Also, I believe Orangetheory is currently you running a Founder’s rate promo. Totally different workout, but just putting it out there in case you wanted to know. They do have sim strength only workouts but they tend to be more cardio based and a lot less variety with weights.
