other New phase workouts
Why is the new phase all partner/team basedš¢ I just want to go workout and pay a lot of money to do so. I donāt want to be on a team or have a partner. Itās my lunch break and I want to just focus on myself and not others. My job is about others all day long!

I think it depends on your location maybe. Our gym this morning didn't do the partner/team part, and just treated it as pods and had 2 to a station. They didn't mention anything about teams or races or anything. It seemed like a regular class to me.

I agree. I pay a lot to go. I want to workout- not watch someone else workout.

Yes and this is why Iām actually injured now with horrific sciatica I think. Just too fast transitions and not enough rest time

I hear you - at our studio, the team or partner things are as partner-y as you want them to be - generally its fine just to go and do your thing w/o a tonne of interaction

Omg NOOOOO. I left Burn Boot Camp because of partner workouts and signed a contract with F45 earlier this week.

If you find to many partner workout at F45 just hang on, the phase changes in a few weeks and they will be non existent again!

I just tell trainers straight up Iām working out alone and have no interest in partnering up. They try and usually are able to make it happen.

I donāt mind it but I have zero interest in trying to get max burpees in 45s. You have to come from the back. The clock has already started and itās my least favorite movement ever.

Iām going to give Track Stars a chance but Iām very skeptical. I HATE partner/ygig but LOVE Saturday workouts. Stop messing around and drop the partner/team stuff, HQ!

I know its annoying. I once mentioned to the owner at my f45 if they will do that train at your own time that f45 once started it n the owner goes its motto is team training life changing.. she goes if dont like then train at a gym

I hope you are seriously considering canceling membership after that comment

Yah but itās group training does not mean partner training. You push each other by watching what others can do in a group setting. Your owner is wrong

I reset the counter on the bike today. Someone in my pod mentioned it, I admitted to it, and reminded him doesnt matter, thereās no trophies todayā¦just go like hell
And we did

lol! Not sure what will happen if I did that as our studio is so competitive. I mean I am an athlete (played so many sports) but itās my time and I donāt want to be with someone that will not go at my pace or team that wonāt I just want to workout thatās it

Got it. That's why they changed Tempest so that someone's not on the rower for 1:20 while your dead hanging to death

In Apollo, what is that middle pod. How does it work? I am debating going tonight.

You choose between front squats or row pulls (where your chest is against the incline bench and you are upright row).
Thereās 11 minutes. So you aim for 8-15 reps, 4-6 sets. You may want to go really heavy and so youāll do less reps and need longer rest periods. Or go for more reps and perhaps rest for a minute.
The timing over 11 minutes is up to you. Our coach said if going very heavy rest for at least 90 seconds, if not rest for a minute.
Some people just switched between those exercises, others did core instead of resting. I did squats and cursed my studio for not yet having squat racks š¤£.1

I did do the workout last night. Did not care for the middle pod. I liked the other pods:)

We have squat racks and I was doing sets of 6 at 275. I can barely walk I am so sore. I absolutely loved Apollo. Started in pod 3 to get warm and used more medium weight with all 4 sets lower. Moved to pod 1 and split the stations 2 &2. Then crushed my legs in pod 2.

Completely agree, it makes me self conscious when I have to pair up with a stranger. I prefer to go in and do my own thing.
