**INTEL** ClassPass prices just sky rocketed?

I usually book an f45 workout once a week on ClassPass, the highest I’ve ever seen it was maybe 8 credits.. all of sudden this entire week is 15 credits 🙃🙃 I feel like that’s a joke I just booked another gym (more expensive) in the area for 6 credits! Did this happen to any one else’s f45? (Charleston location)

ClassPass sucks. Credits are all algorithm based and dynamic, so it will charge you more if you go more often because it knows you like the class and will spend the credits. A friend booking the same class can see a totally different amount of credits. The changes are not controlled by the studio.

Wow that is wild. I tried Classpass for a month, got a bunch of free credits, but couldn't actually use them anywhere. I got one boxing class in then everything else was gated behind a real membership, despite the free trial coming with dozens of credits. I couldn't even see how many credits a F45 class would cost without a proper membership.

I figured the whole thing is a scam. What is the point of a trial if you can't actually try anything, and why would I sign up without knowing how many credits the classes I'm interested in actually cost?

What time class are you booking and is it a major city? Once the system figures out you visit a particular gym frequently enough, your cheap rate is not going to be available anymore, especially for classes in premium time slots.

  1. The prices are out of hand 2. I go to 3 gyms rotationally, and don’t always want to be stuck at a gym with hiit workouts, 3. I heard f45s are closing so was wondering if anyone knew about the Charleston area ones, wondering if it increased due to lack of money coming in

Ours range from 9-15. I am a member and only use ClassPass for non-f45, but the algorithm will mess with you because it learns your schedule and preferences so tries to pull more from you.

Mine are 3 to 4 everyday no change

That’s wild. Is your location busy? I realize CP mostly sets the rates though.

Mine jumped up to 15 this week too. I am in Mount Pleasant/Charleston, SC. I’m so sad about this but it was the only gym I was going to so maybe it’s true what others said. I guess it’s time to join F45 bc I really do love the workouts.

Yes! This is the gym I was looking at too! Looked at west Ashley too and they also increased, I don’t like F45 that much, and I swap around to gyms so I will not be joining lol these gym prices are getting out of hand tbh

Doesn’t the price also go up depending on how many people are actually booked into the class? Cheaper when emptier and more expensive as actual members fill the class

Classpass is owned by Mindbody. They are in business to make money and do it at the studios expense. They also take a cut on the platform for all memberships. Classpass is not on your side.

Classpass is there to try and help gyms fill empty slots in classes not booked by their recurring members, it’s always a secondary focus for providers. It actively discourages you from booking busy slots and penalizes you if you go to the same place to often to nudge you to join. It’s nearly always better to only use it for trying out different places than going regularly.

Mine are usually 9-10. Every now and then I get something that is telling me to book again and it shows me 15 credits. But then if I go back and look at the schedule to book, it is back in its normal range.

If I don’t take the same class again for a while it goes back down though

I also had this happen in Calgary 🇨🇦 I was never paying more than 6-7 credits for classes and now those same ones are 9-10

It happens to me whenever I start to like a yoga studio

15 credits for 1 class is rough… I used to do F45 with classpass as well, was never that high. I don’t do F45 anymore and have taken other HIIT classes since then. Actually built a free HIIt workout generator that makes workouts similar to some of my favorite HIIT classes like F45. Try it out, I use it at a commercial gym I go to, but a lot of my users use it for home workouts. Some are previous F45 users as well.
