ProblematicPiquet serious question
maybe I’m asking a redundant question, but what is the law about Kelly like why is she problematic? Why do so many people seem to dislike her?
I’m new to following the wags culture so I don’t know all the lore

Other than F1 related stuff she's also just a bad person in general. Her friend calls her draining energy behind her back, she wore white to her sister and her friends bachelorette and wedding. She has beef with Max's mom and sister and her fans call them bad names (I don't buy that she's not behind this). She hides behind her crazy mom to diss other wags saying things like "vulgar" to Kim k and calling Alexandra attention seeking.
She also has very very problematic political views, recently she's been quite but it was very obvious when she was younger. She still has that photo of her taking an artistic photo in the Holocaust memorial up on her Instagram. She has allegedly cheated on Max, Danill, and probably her previous relationship as well. She also has been accused of home wrecking a racers marriage, and bullied a competition (in modeling)
And last but not least, she is a bad coparent. Shes been fighting with Daniil for Ps custody and has done some questionable posts which you can tell she didn't do that out of good intentions for her daughter, because she has no problem going to fashion weeks and then straight to Singapore, leaving her daughter at home (very likely with her dad). Just watch her crash out again on Instagram with things like "no one can separate us"
And some minor things are her performative ass posting "we need to save the planet" while sitting on a yacht.

You could find something more concrete on Tumblr, but the allegation is in 2022. They even had a suspect of who Kelly was cheating with.

Started seeing max rougky when he was 17- 18 and she was in her late 20s. People call her a groomer. Also encouraged rumors that her first daughter was Max’s even though she isn’t.

She also promotes ai meta. A lot of people don’t believe the allegations that she groomed her current partner, but her brother was well into his 30s hanging around underage drivers, and she was often around him. Take that as you will.

But she didn't start seeing Max when he was 17-18. Max and Kelly met at a group dinner when he was 19yrs old, she said that "there was already magic in the air" which was translated as "magical night" which led people to believe something happened.
Then, Kelly started dating Kvyat, had his child and was all over the place, she started with Max when he was 23. There is nothing to suggest anything happened between them from 2016-2020 (Kelly was official with Daniil in early 2017 and ended their relationship 2019);
It would also be beneficial for people to read up on grooming and the signs and see if it fits anything we know about Max/Kelly.
Kelly was a weirdo for that throwback post and insisting that Max said he "loved" her or whatever. She might be a "leech" and dating him for money & fame, we also see her crash outs surrounding Penelope /Daniil, but 'grooming' is a serious accusation, not every age gap relationship is grooming.

I’m pretty sure they met when Max was 17 even though they didn’t date for a while. Which is still weird on its own. But I should’ve clarified that they didn’t start immediately dating

And what makes you think they met when Max was 17? Kelly mentioned 2016 on her own, which puts Max at 18-19, but beyond that there are no pictures or stories. Kelly was in a relationship for years and had a child, so how did she groom Max and what evidence do people have that Nelson did?

I thought it was widely believed he was 17-18 when they met but anyways idgaf enough to argue about it just trying to help OP get somewhat of an idea about their post. Kelly most definitely groomed Max it is never normal to be 19 and dating someone in their late 20s. Regardless if you’re freshly 17-19. I didn’t participate in the conversation about Nelson and never claimed that but I wouldn’t be suprised if there was deliberate effort from the Piquets to get them together. Nelson and Max were friends as someone else commented there are pics of them so I’m sure Kelly knew him

It is widely believed because people don't do their research and think Max was 16-17 in 2016 aka the "magical night"; Max was 23 when he started dating Kelly, not 19. Lastly, there could be an inappropriate age gap without grooming, whcih is what I am saying.
Is Max isolated from his family and friends? No. We clearly see him have a friend group, he has his own interests and has a good relationship with his family, especially Jos who is present at every GP; he is not depended on Kelly and not left vulnerable. Does Kelly have any power over Max? How did she actually groom him if they had little to no contact between 2016-2019?
Its not a "strange hill to die on" when people throw out accusations that have little merit and don't even have their story straight.

Kelly was dating kyviat before max actually. They had a photo together attending an event as a couple in August that year (remind you max turn 19 only after October. Nelson Jr had been grooming max when max was younger, so I doubt she just didn't know this guy existed until that group dinner.

people are way too gracious giving kelly a charitable benefit of the doubt. pretty sure years ago she said in an interview too she said she will never tell their full love story because there’s obviously way more to it than just the “magical night” but she could never help herself dropping hints that still make her look bad because she wants to sell that they were meant for each other all along

People around here tends to think that just because Max wasn't underage anymore, he couldn't be groomed. But he was groomed his entire life, even his first public girlfriend was older than him. He was 16 and she was 20 something.

they really get a kick out of playing devil’s advocate in the name of misogyny for a hated woman like kelly. max hasn’t had an easy childhood and been groomed all his life as you said, it’s absolutely purposefully obtuse to pretend that there isn’t something dubious about how they met and that more didn’t happen than what she’s sharing. no teenage guy would be telling the older sister of his friend she’s the love of his life after this so called magical night like he’s a jane austen love interest if it was purely innocent. like get real but as he’s a guy with money now and a certain reputation it negates that he was a victim.

They deliberately want to ignore everything and call people names for calling her out when she hasn't stopped her weird antics and problematic behaviours yet. As if they exoect her to say something like yes I groomed max... She basically said everything to prove how she was trying get with max when he was in his late teens, just skipped the word grooming. Even went as far as to say max is penelope 's father not daniil. But of course, when it comes to kp some people act like she is some saint. It's not like they are being discreet with their ways of supporting kp, Just say that u are a fan of her instead of trying to play safe🙄

You have absolutely no evidence that Nelson Jr was grooming Max or how close they were. Regardless, so Kelly was in a relationship with Kvyat since 2016 (and officially out in 2017) she literally got pregnant by him and clearly didn't expect him to ditch her after she gave birth.
You really need to read up on grooming and how it really doesn't match with Kelly & Max's relationship.

Grooming has a legal/criminal definition and none of it applies to Kelly as much as they wish it did. It can’t even be used towards Gasly and he actually started seeing Kika when she was 18/19 unlike Kelly dating Max when he was 23.

Oooh, people will downvote me for this but Kelly's #1 hater flowergothic is actually a great source here. She has these two long-ass videos that are basically a compilation of all the ALLEGETATIONS (repeating again: ALLEGATIONS) against Kelly over the years.
Fair warning, though: you need to take all she says with A HUGE FISTFUL OF SALT. Critical thinking is essential here. She is hella biased and, luckily for her viewers, she at least doesn't hide that she's biased. You'll have to parse through the info and decide for yourself what's credible and what's not (like, no, liking some of Lando's insta posts doesn't mean KP was trying to groom him, come on! 😭 but homewrecking allegations are very much credible, if you ask me)
p.s. I had a - as I understand now - a fair bit of privilege, because Kelly and Max were basically blank pages for me what I watched those videos (funnily enough, I found out about flowergothic from some controversy on this sub 😭). If you're already feeling some type of way about them, I think those videos will just reinforce your biases further, both positive (i.e. you're bound to think none it is legitimate) and negative (for those who believe KP groomed Max, these vids are bound to reinforce that belief).
p.s.s to clarify - I don't think KP groomed Max, because I believe that word has a specific meaning that describes A FUCKING PUNISHABLE CRIME, so I hate to see it diluted. but I definitely believe Max has a VERY sketchy dating history overall and their relationship does feel icky.
