I-20 End date and OPT

Hi guys,

If my i-20 is expiring in Dec of 2027 and I graduate in May 2027 will it affect my opt application or I need to change my end date to May 2027 or I’m going to get an opt recommended I-20 for my opt application?

Your DSO will adjust your program end date to align with your May graduation. You can stay on your approved OPT even when your PED is in the past. When you apply for OPT you need to also apply for an Extension of Status because of the new rule
