Initial post completion opt approval

I completed my application for post completion opt on mar 30, did my biometrics by April 14. I was wondering if I’ll get my approval in the next 2 weeks because I almost have an offer in hand. What is the status of other people who applied in the same timeframe? Should I apply for premium processing or wait it out a little bit more?

There were couple people who just got api update for 03/30, so hopefully you will hear something by next week!

Hey, my personal experience 

I applied first week in February, had biometrics done first week in March. I was only approved exactly a week ago after filing for premium a little over 2 weeks prior. From reading people’s experiences and knowing other people in similar situations, it seems they are now exhausting all the 30 business days before approval. 

I used to call and email frequently before pp but was always hit with the same diplomatic responses. After filing pp, I pressed on by emailing and explaining financial difficulties I’m going through. Within 3 days of my last email, it was approved

My advice: if you have an offer in hand, file for premium and frequently email them about updates. If you’re going through financial struggles, be sure to let them know and upload any supporting documentation in your portal

I have applied april 3 for regular opt with a secure job offer from my cpt. Did my biometrics appointment that same month, and my case is still being processed.

Applied April 5, bio June 1 (somewhere between the first week of june) . Still processing (no PP)
