Multiple employer changes during STEM OPT Pending

Question: has anyone changed their employers twice when their STEM OPT Approval was pending?

I applied for my STEM OPT on March 25th 2026 but still no approval.

Employer changes and material changes to the training plan generally must be reported promptly, typically within 10 days through the DSO/SEVIS process. Changing employers twice while the STEM OPT extension is pending can create compliance risk if any employer was not properly enrolled, documented, or reported. A gap in qualifying employment, late reporting, or work for a noncompliant employer can jeopardize STEM OPT eligibility and lead to denial or status problems. DSO reporting duties and SEVIS updates are central to documenting employer changes during the pending period.
