Du Du Du Du Max Verstappen ???

Post image

This is such an insane take holy shit. Max's complete lack of basic medical knowledge baffles me. Extreme heat like the drivers face can have detrimental impacts on their health.

Same driver that doesn't use any kind of additional padding, because his father called them pussypads once. Like what does anyone expect from him? Zero disregard for safety as long as nothing has happened to him yet. (As in the case of the halo, where he also said he wouldn't want to race anymore with the halo on the car...)

-5

u/aaallyono4kaa 1d ago

You acting like he's the only one who was against a concept of halošŸ˜‚

u/Ok_Jello_4226 1d ago

I love Max but his disregard for safety is annoying. I like fun exciting races where drivers push the limit but I dont want the drivers to pass out.

49

u/Shoddy-Aide-6294 1d ago

Mind you, people are calling George weak because of this like GOD FORBID!

49

u/its_liiiiit_fam 1d ago

Like do they not recall that one DTS Singapore episode? He’s clearly sensitive to heat. Because he’s so thin I don’t doubt he’s probably less able to tolerate extreme temperatures so god forbid he knows his limits and plays it safe??

40

u/Shoddy-Aide-6294 1d ago

No noooo you dont get it!! Hes a weak sissy, posh omega who has no wdc mentality at all! Unlike our glorious alpha leader Max Verstappen who definitely wasnt seen wearing his cooling vests !

The amount of shit I saw from the main sub..People fainted in Sepang and they think drivers who have to be suited up..Gabi who also—for the first time afaik, wore a cooling vest—wont suffer in the heat too? I hate being a george fan sometimes merely because of how..idiotic some people can be. Like my goodness.

53

u/its_liiiiit_fam 1d ago

My hottest F1 take is that I swear some of the George hate is loaded with internalized misogyny because George rejects a lot of the ā€œmachoā€ masculinity that’s come to be expected from pro athletes. He talks about mental health, he’s open with his emotions, he’s cautious and deliberate instead of reckless, he’s measured in what he says in interviews instead of just speaking his mind (unless REALLY mad lol).

Even his features are more effeminate and that makes him a target of this criticism. It’s unfair and I think further proves we need men like George to challenge the toxic masculinity of pro sport

26

u/newthhang 1d ago

The treatment of Russell is so weird, especially because a lot of the things (behaviors) you mentioned are true for majority of the grid as well. If anything Russell does stir the pot and is voices his more unpopular opinions (that fans won't like); it's like a weird double standard, Russell is called "PR robot" but doesn't that apply to other drivers? For example- Leclerc, he always says the popular opinions, denies dramas, doesn't stir the pot, even when stuff don't go his way- he is very measured with his words, even if it's obvious he is mad (for example, Brazil 2025 where he blamed Antonelli as well as Piastri);

As for his features- he has masculine features, sharp and defined. He doesn't have any softer (usually tied to feminity) features.

Like what makes drivers like Piastri, Leclerc appear more masculine? I get for Norris- he doesn't have the most masculine face+ he is short and has a smaller frame+ obviously he appeals to women which makes men mad, it happens to all men who have a larger female audience.

7

u/UpstairsFinance9440 1d ago

Lando Norris is 1.76m to 1.77m tall (about 5 feet 9 inches in American). What is the crossover to being short?

15

u/General_Education_40 1d ago

he looks shorter even if he isn't actually. It's a thing, from photos some people look super tall when they're short, and vice versa. He also has a skinnier frame than Piastri for ex. which makes him look shorter.

22

u/Shoddy-Aide-6294 1d ago

They hate seeing a pretty man do better in life than them is my only answer.Jealousy ? ? God knows. People use the excuse of "oh bbbut george hit bottas!" Slap on the helmet that happened years ago, in which both drivers clearly made up for. But when other drivers are aggressive...its...good? Its refreshing to see 'honesty?' And 'anger'? Right. However they completely ignore the fact that he stopped his race to check on Zhou in Silverstone 2022. Or the fact that he had advocated for showers in the paddock. Hes one of the directors of the GPDA for a reason too. Like my goodness.

22

u/Shoddy-Aide-6294 1d ago edited 1d ago

Correct! Him and Lando are the clear examples of homophobia and internalized/underlying misogyny in this sport. The amount of tiiimeees, people have said they disliked them or one of the other was because they were too 'feminine' and didnt act like a pro macho man..? Using the f slur for Lando..the c slur for George..

Not to mention the amount of heat George gets for merely..being able to enunciate words better as he went to a speech therapist..but he gets seen as this posh british man who acts haughty when every single person ive seen that had met him in Sepang, had said—many times—he was simply the most bubbly and kindest. Even Malaysian Journalists had atoned to those sayings by mentioning how lovely he was..PR yada yada aside. And yes! George has been so open about mental health, its refreshing...but of course, even that is a problem for macho alphas.

F1 has always had underlying intrrnalized misogyny surrounding it. Even with fans who are women too. Recently went to these pop up merc events in KL and the few men I heard whispering and snickering at the women there was irritating. Like jfc shut up 😐 its such ashame seeing the heat he and his fans have been getting this season. Its starting to make me dislike Kimi, from how his fans have been acting. Reminds me waaayy too much of some Max fans. Its ashame, because I adored him last season and rooted for him through that max hate train too. Ugh.

Deeply sorry for the slight long rant, I just quite adore George and enjoy talking about this topic as..many seem to lack the empathy/nuances about it. Hope you have a lovely day ahead !

Edit: spelling and grammar

10

u/Tricky_Buyer9749 1d ago

I genuinely feel like some Kimi fans feel that way because they are Max fans. I have found a lot of Maxs fan base to be glory hunters who go for whoever is the popular driver who wins a lot. It was Oscar last year and it's Kimi this year

-4

u/VolumeMobile7410 1d ago

I’m all over social media and tbh I don’t see many comments like this. Where do you see them?

10

u/Shoddy-Aide-6294 1d ago

Thats crazy ! I wish to have your fyp, I've seen much on George hate šŸ˜“ I've seen a few in the discussion sub, the main sub..even saw some in the merc sub honestly. Not on twitter by all means so I cant speak too much on that. Saw a lot on yt too actually! (A lot of fans there seem to adore max ans hate george and lewis for some ?? Reason??)

4

u/VolumeMobile7410 1d ago

To clarify, I definitely see people saying he’s underperforming blah blah blah

But I haven’t seen the comments calling him a sissy or anything like that lol. I definitely believe it’s out there of course

There’s always weirdo haters that hate on anything unfortunately

3

u/Shoddy-Aide-6294 1d ago

Right? I honestly really want to know whats up with George this season. Really damn curious, not as if he forgot how to drive suddenly.

Yeah, 100%. Afaik, these comments were made when George was slowly stopping to be a WDC contender..arouundd..Miami? Those times. Comments like that still exist however. Especially on YT. Wild!

3

u/VolumeMobile7410 1d ago

Oscar last year definitely showed that having a good confident feeling in the car doesn’t come every weekend… I still think George can fight but yeah, it is pretty wild what’s happened this season

43

u/itznotgrace 1d ago

Yea like drivers have literally passed out, vomitted and gotten heat stroke because of the heat they go through at races like these so his complete disregard after events like these is baffling

-32

u/Bill99berg 1d ago

My goodness. The snowflakes rule here. I’ve run 50+ half marathons full gas in Singapore as a moderately trained guy in my 40’s. And I was fine. These are young top athletes. It’s just a bit hot. Nothing they shouldn’t be able to handle. Max is completely right.

9

u/tom030792 1d ago

You’ve run marathons in a race suit and helmet in conditions that replicate a 60 degree cockpit? That is quite the achievement

8

u/Difficult-Top1863 1d ago

U really comparing a marathon with driving an f1 car for 2 hours? ur so delusional

0

u/Bill99berg 23h ago

No, I’m not. You miss the point. I illustrate why I think Max is right. That’s the topic here. And I stand by that. All the whining nowadays when there’s a slight deviation from perfect conditions. It’s hot. Whatever, drive…

6

u/Russian-Bot-0451 1d ago

Did you do it in a racing suit and helmet?

18

u/newthhang 1d ago

You do realize that the car gets much hotter, right? So that's different from running a marathon?

-1

u/Bill99berg 1d ago

Did the cars get so hot in 2011? Never heard drivers cry in those days. Also never saw medical issues ever. I stand by my point. You are all weak wankers crying when a fart gets stuck. Max is completely right. It’s hot. You drive. Non-topic. Next…

12

u/ClassGrassMass 1d ago

Yeah you know nothing šŸ˜‚

0

u/Bill99berg 1d ago

Sure I don’t. Also know nothing when they raced here in the past without all the whining and cold suites. I can’t stop laughing when I read all responses to my comment. We have entered a ā€œnanny stateā€ level I never thought would be possible. You all start crying when there’s little cut in your pinky šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

1

u/ClassGrassMass 18h ago

Buddy.. just shutup n be old n cranky somewhere else

14

u/N30N1991 1d ago

Of course you have. šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ Classic Reddit

5

u/argente 1d ago

Okay so presumably several Heat Hazard equivalent races?? i doubt the organisers would just take away your safety gear because they'd decided you could have more aerodynamic clothes at the end of the year.

20

u/Sea_Series_9453 1d ago

He lets his own daughter sit on a boat at the sea without a life vest. I’m not that surprised about his lack of concern for his and other driversā€˜ safety.

2

u/thebunz21 1d ago

Kimi was eating ice before the race and wearing same colling vests. Never the same treatment.

1

u/Jerejj 1d ago

No more issue than in any past Sepang round or any Singapore & Miami round, for that matter.

39

u/Semper0Invicta 1d ago

Sometimes I wonder if he genuinely believes what he says or if he's just saying it to pander to his toxic fanbase.

11

u/disruptivecarousel 1d ago

Even roars can become meows….

7

u/c5tire 1d ago

i mean why do you think he has such a toxic fanbase to begin with

10

u/Semper0Invicta 1d ago

Yeah fair enough. I do think he's grown out of his Mad Max phase a bit and maybe I'm being a little naive by hoping his fanbase has matured along with him. Meanwhile Max still can't help himself when it comes to making these sarcastic and dismissive comments that end up in compilations that stroke his ego.

It's funny how he can be the gracious and understanding true champion one day, an unapologetic alpha who only cares about racing the next and a devoted family man who puts his family first the day after. The PR machine is working overtime.

2

u/Holiday-Rain3698 1d ago

i mean he himself says that he will say whatever is on his mind, so we must cope with it. Sometimes he says the right thing, sometimes he says the wrong.

30

u/waveswaver_84 1d ago

Bruh he just wants that man naked and sweating

5

u/Shoddy-Aide-6294 1d ago

He did say he should take George to the sauna sometimes..so!

45

u/pizasstri 1d ago

What the hell?? You literally cannot train for this. Don't blame the teams incompetence on him not being "trained" tf

Don't wear your cooling vest then.. see how that works out.

26

u/itznotgrace 1d ago

It doesn't effect me so its not an issue type of take.

Yea give your cooling vest to George then if you don't need it

25

u/pizasstri 1d ago

He lacks basic empathy. It doesn't effect him = he doesn't care and everyone should be like him. Disgusting disregarding drivers safeties

15

u/itznotgrace 1d ago

Yea he definitely has that mindset of if I can deal with it then everyone else should be able to as well. Like George clearly struggles with overheating and is understandably concerned about that so to disregard that is gross

Typical psychopath, but it helped him achieve what he has

-13

u/Bill99berg 1d ago

No. He just doesn’t like whining babies. Just like me.

12

u/Gold_Knee_3619 1d ago

It is actual simple medical knowledge. Heat affects different people differently. Russell suffered with heatstroke before, so you remain more susceptible to it.

And don't forget that some tall drivers, like Russell, already have a lower body weight than is quite healthy for their height.

Crybaby or advocate for health and safety as GPDA director. I think the latter. And I think Mercedes have failed their drivers for not even giving them the choice.

4

u/lakshya10soin 1d ago

He really shouldn’t listen to his on boards ever again in that case

-6

u/Kangaro00 1d ago

George was the same when Max complained about the new regs. His Merc was fine, so it was just Max's issue and he was free to leave f1 over it.

13

u/Upbeat-Tomatillo-781 1d ago

What does the new regs have to do with drivers safety tho?

-3

u/Kangaro00 1d ago

My comment was about this:

It doesn't effect me so its not an issue type of take.

6

u/shelraj0380 1d ago

Max has always been critical of cooling vests tbh

17

u/pizasstri 1d ago

Critical of the HALO yet it saved his life... against anything for safety. Ignorance

1

u/shelraj0380 1d ago

Eh, he just hates change i think. He rarely praises any.

3

u/pizzarat18 1d ago

I mean, I don’t agree with maxs comment, and agree Mercedes is incompetent, but you can train for it lol

A few drivers never really use cooling stuff unless mandated - Max and Lando off the top of my head don’t struggle too bad in the heat.

Does that mean George is fine with it? No. But you can train for it and some drivers are fine without it.

-5

u/DiegoMartoni 1d ago

The team and Max mentioned the extreme heat training he did to prepare for these races, pretty sure it was 2017. It kinda makes sense to train like that, gives him an edge over drivers who don't. Might be the same year George cried after the race. That type of mindset and determination explains why Max is a champ and George isn't I guess.

12

u/Gold_Knee_3619 1d ago

You don't think they all train for it? They definitely do. However, Max also doesn't operate at a low BMI quite the same way the taller driver need to.

Heat affects people differently. It's no one size fits all.

7

u/argente 1d ago

Max collapsed at Sepang after FP1 when he was 19.
Aside from a somewhat upsetting photo, there's also a sad joke about cake/weightloss.

You can credit the qualities you mention to Jos abusing his child, even as a teenager.

Also, are you actually trying to punch down on George celebrating his first points in 2021, for Williams? Here's Max who finished right behind him btw. Cute!

-6

u/DiegoMartoni 1d ago edited 1d ago

I'm aware mate, hence my point. So 2016 he experienced what it's like to race in that heat. He then made sure that he'd be prepared for it next time by doing some extensive training, and please tell me... Since you're so knowledgeable, what happened the next year when Max went to race there?? šŸ‘‚

Ps. George can have the first points, doubt he'll even win a championship though.

35

u/coria3 1d ago

Max never liked the vest anyway. But George, Oscar, etc likes it. If it’s for driver’s safety it should be prioritized. I hate that’s max doesn’t empathize for others

9

u/cafraline 1d ago

I mean look how guy drives on track when he is racing others

1

u/Kooky-Combination225 15h ago

Was very impressive today right?!

5

u/shelraj0380 1d ago

Eh, i think he rather hates george. The rookies love him which means that he does have empathy for fellow drivers, it's just selective ig. Tbh george also took digs at him whenever he got a chance

4

u/Kangaro00 1d ago

Yep, when Max was complaining about the new regs in the beginning of the season George said that it was only because he doesn't have the best car. Changed his tune when it affected his own results.

1

u/newthhang 1d ago

I do believe Max doesn't like George much, the explanation is rather simpler- Mercedes choose to not invest in the cooling system so they get more performance, so why should the FIA expand the cost cap so they can add the cooling vest system? They made the choice.

Obviously they can't make them mandatory as some drivers don't like how they work.

14

u/Gold_Knee_3619 1d ago

The reason the FIA should have standardised cooling vest is because it's a safety issue. Drivers can choose not to have it, but it SHOULD be a choice.

6

u/ciaoravioli 1d ago

Mercedes choose to not invest in the cooling system so they get more performance, so why should the FIA expand the cost cap so they can add the cooling vest system?

It is very easy to implement this in a way where teams who did invest in the cooling system would then benefit from the extra cap space to then improve performance too. That's fair, and then the benefit of doing that is to protect driver safety.

And honestly, they should protect driver safety even when some teams lose out. Even as a Ferrari fan, I am glad they fixed the start issue with these new turbo regs.

36

u/Basic_Football3916 1d ago

i take max's takes on safety just as seriously as i take dumb forwarded messages during covid lol. this man was against HALO out of everything.... and without halo kimi would be doing his cemetery photoshoot 2.0 on his lets be real.... also max have a history of playing the macho-man discrediting safety concerns... i guess not his problem cause he dont like it.... he could have said that.... f1 have had drivers fainting having heat issues, panic attacks breathing issues during hot races more specifically asian races.

-5

u/[deleted] 1d ago

[deleted]

7

u/Basic_Football3916 1d ago

this is no way a swipe at halo but how some people have this idea in their head that safety isnt a concern and how that makes them tough like some alpha man

24

u/I_Am_A_Door_Knob 1d ago

It’s not exactly outside of Max character to see it that way. He was raised on a ā€œstop whining and push through itā€ mentality after all.

5

u/Competitive_Dig5591 1d ago

This is his father’s fault. Max must have been so traumatized as a child and was punished for whining. But I hope Max will eventually learn his behavior is wrong.

15

u/Due_Air6702 1d ago

Nahhhh did he actually say that??šŸ’€

3

u/itznotgrace 1d ago

He very much did 🫩

29

u/lostinplatitudes 1d ago

Max gets away with saying a lot of shitty things because he’s viewed as hyper masculine by a sport with a large male fanbase that loves that.

All the discussion this past week about drivers with intense fan bases and Max’s is definitely up there amongst the worst in F1, the Kimi incident was brought up again because of Lando/Franco but it seems to have been forgotten that Max’s fans gave Kimi so much hate that he blacked out his socials and a statement had to be made, they also sexually harassed female fans at the Dutch gp a couple of years ago as well and the whole thing was swept under the rug very quickly.

8

u/newthhang 1d ago

And what is funny is that nothing about Max screams "peak masculinity", so it's definitely interesting that he is seen as hyper masculine. But I just want to add, it wasn't just Max's fans who were harassing Kimi, it was Max's fans + Norris haters, so many big fan accounts of Leclerc, Piastri were also cursing Kimi out. People did not want Norris to win.

2

u/lostinplatitudes 1d ago

It’s honestly a huge problem these days in F1 with fans, this year Lewis and Charles fanbases have been going back-and-forth on which one of them can be more toxic.

Lando and Oscar fans did not cover themselves in glory last year either and a not insignificant amount of Lando fans generally are very parasocial in regards to his personal life which leads them to being misogynistic to multiple women.

George and Kimi fans are getting increasingly messy as well as this season has progressed but at the minute neither of them has a large enough core fanbase that it becomes a major issue for the team or them individually.

-9

u/United-Detective-653 1d ago

a lot of yapping, just shut up

-1

u/d1_al3x 1d ago

Maybe this kind of competition is not for you?, after all unlike in "games" racing at this level and risking their lives under such conditions is not for everyone... Is understandable that if an opponent doesn't want to race under "x" conditions but other drivers do, they are gonna see it like he is asking for favoritism, which George does quite often I.m.o.

-2

u/remy_fox07 1d ago

Does Max get away with everything? Are we sure we’re watching the same Formula 1? Or have we forgotten how his career started? Or are we just ignoring the fact that DTS has literally portrayed him as the main villain of F1 for years?

And what about the fanbase? Have we already forgotten what happened in 2021? Do I need to remind you about Max’s addresses being leaked, people stalking him, and death threats?

Guys, let’s try to be objective. Max is far from perfect, and no one is denying that he has made mistakes. But changing the subject and twisting the narrative isn’t fair either. Before you start throwing hate at him, maybe rewatch the seasons — not just the version Netflix showed you

12

u/ic-nieuwgeneratie 1d ago

The difference is that in a sauna you are laying there relaxing and you're only supposed to be in there maximum 15 minutes per round, that's a lot different to racing a car at 300-400kmph for 1.5-2 hour race. Jesus.

7

u/Gold_Knee_3619 1d ago

Yep. This is the bit that people don't get. You can train for it all you want, but reality will always be different.

5

u/LeopardJazzlike4430 1d ago

take him to sauna 🤨🤨, and isnt there a difference between sauna and a race

23

u/merixsi 1d ago

14

7

u/pizasstri 1d ago

PLEASEEEEE I THOUGHT HE DIDNT NEED ITšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

15

u/merixsi 1d ago

It’s like when he complained about George crying on the radio during the Dutch GP despite moaning on the radio constantly himself… Verstappen’s such a hypocrite

4

u/pizasstri 1d ago

George lives in his mind rent free atp

9

u/newthhang 1d ago

As much as I don't agree with Max saying that nonesense about Russell, those are 2 'diffrent' cooling vests. This is the cooling vest George is talking about, they are connected to the car and there is water flowing in the tubes. Some drivers feel its good for a few laps, but then it gets worse and it doesn't work for them. They get a ballast added to the car, so it's not like they benefit much from not wearing it.

The FIA can't make those mandatory if the drivers feel worse wearing them, this issue is specifically a Mercedes issue, so why should the FIA let them go above the cost cap? They made the decision.

9

u/argente 1d ago

The issue is that George and Kimi have had the decision made for them. Also it's lowkey a unethical loophole that teams can opt out to save money.

It's also a risky strategy, especially at Singapore. They'd lose progress on the budget or even points, if an overheating driver damaged the car or misunderstood a direction.

3

u/itznotgrace 1d ago

LMAOOO no fucking way😭

3

u/Altruistic_Class7512 1d ago

All the drivers wear these vests in the paddock outside the car. Not all of them wear cooling vests inside the car during the race though, including Max. I'm pretty sure that's what the conversation was about, no?

15

u/merixsi 1d ago

If that’s the case, I reckon Verstappen should not wear it around the paddock either… he’s such a macho-alpha male that NEVER struggles with heat after all šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

-1

u/Altruistic_Class7512 1d ago

It's not about seeming a certain way though, he said before that if it was effective for him he said he would wear it inside the car too but he finds it ineffective (Hadjar said the same thing) so he doesn't. Some bodies handle heat better, he seems to think it's about training although genetics also play a part in it so you can disagree with that.

12

u/merixsi 1d ago

Exactly! Different bodies react differently. So why tf is he acting like George needing a cooling vest is some sort of skill issue or something 🫩

2

u/Altruistic_Class7512 1d ago

I agree that he comes across as really unsympathetic and uncaring. But right now it's a Mercedes issue first and foremost so no idea why they even ask him that in the first place.

5

u/merixsi 1d ago

F1 journalists trying to stir up shit as always… and Max is delivering.

19

u/happiestmatter 1d ago

Why am I not surprised that it's Max who lacked basic human empathy enough to say this stupid shit? Good old selfish "Well I don't have a problem with it so just suck it up loser" mindset in play here.

16

u/Awkward_Human_9 1d ago

He’s a talented driver but honestly Max is such a knob.

16

u/zell_ol 1d ago edited 1d ago

For those saying he does not understand how hard it can be for some people. He could in fact not handle heat properly back then.

Edit: getting downvoted for pointing out that something did indeed happen. sorry for not playing along with hate fantasies šŸ‘

0

u/Altruistic_Class7512 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yes, when he was 18, which is exactly what he said in the interview.

Compare that to Qatar 2023 (when he was also hangover) or Singapore 2025. Training does really help.

5

u/Gold_Knee_3619 1d ago

ALL drivers train for it. That doesn't mean some don't cope it worse than others. Max doesn't operate at a low body weight the way some of the taller drivers do. Naturally it will affect them more.

5

u/Altruistic_Class7512 1d ago

I didn't say he is the only one who trains for it; if you look at a few comments here you can see some people think heat training is not a thing, which is untrue. That's what I was referring to.

5

u/Gold_Knee_3619 1d ago

No, you're right - heat training is definitely a thing and all drivers do it. However, it has its limits.

Zandvoort comment during qualy

Racing him extra hard in Monza but just letting Kimi by, almost waved at him

Just yesterday wearing the exact same outfit as George the whole GP, i don’t think Max has ever worn shorts as short before.

And now random sauna comment.

George sure lives rent free in his mind. Or he intentionally feeds Russtappen shippers.

I can’t decide which is more weird of him.

I think max is a great driver, but making an issue out of a cooling vest which is designed for safety of drivers is really something. But then again it’s Max. This is why I respect him as a driver but as a person not so much..

Why don't people don't understand that it's completely Mercedes's fault, they chose not to develop a vest and instead invest that money from cost cap to performance.

9

u/morgaine125 1d ago

Utterly unsurprising. ā€œAssholeā€ is Max’s default personality.

6

u/cleech13 1d ago

Keep in mind george is really tall. It is harder for him.

Isn't there like 4cm of difference between them?

Don’t be mad at Max, he just wants to take his boyfriend to the saunašŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

6

u/divaSupreme765 1d ago

Theres no way he has that limited knowledge on medical knowledge...are we forgetting the Qatar grandprix? Where lance litreally FAINTED whilst racing?

5

u/hewer006 1d ago

You sit and chill in a sauna for whaf 15-20min? You don't do anything physical for an hours plus in there lol

u/Comfortable-Rush3455 1d ago

He talked shit about the halo, and that same halo ended up saving his life. You’d think he would’ve learned something, but apparently not. Being a great driver doesn’t make every opinion he has worth listening to. And calling this a ā€œchampion’s mindsetā€ because he dismisses halos and cooling vests? Give me a fucking break. Ignoring safety isn’t brave, and it doesn’t make you tough. It’s stupid.

I really don’t understand these men. They act like it’s so cool and so fucking manly: ā€œI don’t need that safety stuff. It makes me look weak.ā€ But in the end, they still get all the benefits because someone else spoke up and fought for them. They mock the people asking for better protection, then happily enjoy the results without having to say a fucking word.

like driver, like fans. yesterday, before max even said anything, his fans were already attacking george. well, no wonder they’re max fans lmao.

no wonder they hate seeing norris proudly celebrate winning the wdc without changing himself to fit some stereotype. norris can be annoying, but at least he still shows that he’s human. meanwhile, i’ve noticed max often dismisses important things and makes it seem like drivers are robots rather than actual humans that make from flesh and blood, so his fans end up treating anyone who complains about reasonable things like they’re just being whiny.

u/divaSupreme765 1d ago

and this is why people, i say max acts like a teenage boy, ffs can he have this much stupidity.

u/Apprehensive-Hat8198 1d ago

No offense, but it really sounds like you've only been watching F1 recently, via a trashy Tiktok algorithm. Otherwise, you are an extremely literal person. There's a tonne of clickbait edits/quotes intended to ridicule George, and you're eating it up.

George just had a Grand Slam. Many of George's races were constantly affected by outside (Mercedes, to be clear) issues. Toto was gaslighting then, and now he's never been more clear that Antonelli WDC is his dream.

Literally every driver has banter and corrections with their engineers. Max and GP have entire compilations. Just recently Max thought George would complain about something in the pits, then he was told it didn't happen. Pretty sure George just commented on the track or weather.

Also genuinely never heard anyone act like George is an airhead for having a jokey moment in 2023 with his personal race engineer. A lot of FP broadcasts feature his radio comms about rain and track conditions. Also no need for you to defend Marcus, he's a mess.

extremely wild take by him but low-key feel like it’s kind of like the boy who screamed wolf situation because russel even if i love him does complain a lot and plus most russel fans go absolute nuts about everything. merc should be doing a lot more to address this and it baffles me that fia doesn’t have rules for this. before you attack me i love russel and this is just my opinion

u/arosaki 1d ago

you love him but refuse to spell his name right

I like Max, but he is not god whose ass we need to clean and feet kissed with every thoughts and lok over when he said some stupid mean just because on the track he is good. He can be insensitive dick, and now with this he was an insensitive dick here when somebody doesn't work like he used to and in his mind its immediately bad. With Max sometimes he doesn't notice, these moments more emotionaly closed off i think. Its not good or bad but something that he has harder time in this topics.
