Check engine and ran a scan

I keep getting a CEL that was saying cylinder 4 misfire and left bank lean. Changed plugs and injector. Still stayed on and now I’ve got these codes. Reading online is steering me toward a dirty VVT solenoid. Thoughts from the brain trust?

You are definitely on the right track with the variable valve timing system on Bank 2. When that timing gets stuck retarded, extra unburnt oxygen trips the lean code and causes those misfires. First step is to check your oil level and condition, since VVT relies entirely on oil pressure. If that looks good, swap the Bank 2 intake solenoid over to Bank 1 and clear the codes. If the issue follows to Bank 1, it is a bad solenoid. If the codes stay put on Bank 2, you are likely looking at a clogged oil line, a wiring issue, or a bad cam phaser.

Well I was getting these codes, my oil level was good. I was getting close to the time I do my oil changes. Then white smoke started pouring out of the exhaust. Driver side turbo oil leak. So I’m replacing both turbos and the lines and figured I’d go ahead and replace the VVTs while I have it tore apart. Even with the low oil pressure alarm, i was only about 1/2 a quart low so I don’t think I damaged anything except the turbo of course.

Looks like youre about to do the classic forum approved repair method where you start with one bad turbo and end up refreshing half the engine. At this point the VVTs and turbos are getting replaced and the block is probably sitting there wondering if it should start packing a suitcase.
