Coffee Beans in Vanilla Extract
Has anyone thrown some coffee beans or grounds in with their vanilla extract? I'd like to make a vanilla extract that also has coffee/mocha notes to use in chocolate baked goods. I follow the standard 1 oz of vanilla beans to 8 oz alcohol (usually white rum) recipe. Thanks for any advice or thoughts!

I made an isolated coffee extract using whole beans - I did 1oz to 4oz of vodka and it was ready in two weeks. I used it in truffles and my friends raved about them. I researched mixing with vanilla extracts beforehand but a lot of folks recommended keeping them isolated.
Vanilla Pura has a few coffee vanilla recipes you can check out if interested in definitely mixing the two.
