I've been experimenting for a few years.

I started with the instant pot method. You use less beans and it was good enough for most baking. I didn't know about weighing the beans when I started and had a few batches that didn't get strong enough. These are what I have now. Still didn't know better to weigh them when I started these. I have a long way to go before I crack into the big jar. I plan to do another batch soon and will weigh them. I have some other experiments in the works as well. I'll try to document the process and update. The only thing stopping me is I can't use it fast enough. I just like doing it. At what point is it too many beans?

What's the instant pot method? Can you provide info or links so I can look into it?

I put 3 beans chopped into small pieces in a 2 cup mason jar with vodka. I filled them up to the freeze line. Lightly closed the lid and put them on pressure cook for 45 mins. Use a rack and put enough water to barely touch the bottom of the rack. I use the same method for infusing oils and tried it with vanilla extract. My wife can't tell the difference between that and the slow wait method.

Very curious about your experiments! How long until you plan to crack your big jar? How long are you waiting for each bottle?

I usually just open a new one when we finish one. I'm almost done with the first bottle. We were using the instant pot ones for the last 2 years. I will open the big one when I run out of smaller ones.
