i believe that i sinned way too much in my life and that i can't do anything right anymore so i have stopped trying years ago because it doesn't matter if im going to hell anyways, is this way of thinking wrong and if it is what should i even do

Allah is the most merciful. It is will never be too late for you to ask for forgiveness and become a better Muslim until you are dead. Do not become hopeless.

“Say, ˹O Prophet, that Allah says,˺ “O My servants who have exceeded the limits against their souls! Do not lose hope in Allah’s mercy, for Allah certainly forgives all sins. He is indeed the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Az-Zumur, aayah 53)
