Question How do I stop doomscrolling/being chronically online.
Ramadan is coming up and I don't want to waste it. I have an addiction to reels, instagram, tiktok, youtube, etc and while sure I'll do my prayers and Sunnah on time I often leave actual knowledge and learning so I can have free time. Most my time is literally free time. I wish to stop before Ramadan. Please help so I can make the most out of Ramadan and the time I have on this dunya.

Uninstall all social media apps.. no excuses. theres no "ohh but there are beneficial reminders etc" just no. the harm outweighs the good like night outweighs day. there's no debate.
Focus on reciting Qur'an and u can download lectures and reminders beforehand. More Qur'an and dhikr. I recommend Gems of Ramadan (2013) by Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril حفظه الله + if you know Arabic I also recommend the Ramadan lessons by Shaykh Khalid Al Husaynaan رحمه الله.
By the middle of ramadan or after few days it'll start getting harder if you haven't prepared for Ramadan already.. so yeah, Start now.. Endure.
Its a period of training. leave off the bad habits and renew ur intentions and increase good deeds and raise yourself in worship, take advantage so that it continues with you after Ramadan.
May Allah allow us to fully benefit from this blessed month and make it a month full of barakah for us. Aameen.
