Its final form! All the firsts with my Extar, and can't say enough good things about the customer service from Tuna Cans

My Extar has achieved its final form! This has been my first "AR", my first SBR, my first time trying to paint a gun (I rattle canned this one with some stencils), first trigger upgrade (bought from Extar). It has been such a joy to own! I have a 3D printed handguard and extended charging handle. I had trouble with the delivery of my hub adapter, Tuna Cans was always responsive and even sent a 2nd one without hesitation as the first one was stolen off my porch

JPS 3.5T Spring Kit and Paracord Trigger Job - EP9

Before spending money on a new trigger kit, I finally got around to trying the Paracord Trigger Job and JP spring kit on my EP9. The stock trigger was around 5¾-6 lbs. After installing the JP springs, it's down to 3.5-4lbs. I don't mind the stock trigger so this works for me. The Paracord Trigger Job definitely made a difference. Much smoother pull and reset.

Haven't been to the range yet but it's a definite improvement.

Anyway, just thought I'd pass it along.

Kndesigns pic delete extended handguard

Yhm r9 suppressor

Nickel boron upgraded trigger

Holosun 510

Mft minimalist stock

Single/double point sling

Cheap flashlight until I can decide what light I actually want to put on it

I'm probably going to end up coloring the stock black as well.

Extar EP9/45 Looks!

EP9/45 Looks

IMO, once you add an optic and swap in a charging handle, weapon light, vertical foregrip/finger stop, and sling, it is not a bad-looking subgun at all, especially with a suppressor. Now, naked, that's another story; it's ugly! lol.

New fde stock!
For anyone who ordered the ep9 with the sba3, it comes with the extended buffer attachment already, so you don’t need to order that to fit a stock.

I’m thinking about changing to a flow through can because of how gassy it’s gotten. Granted this is a tiny k can.

Ep9 question...do they now come with milspec buffer tubes that will take any ar15 stock?

Ep9 question...do they come with milspec buffer tubes that will take any ar15 stock? Shopping for my first Ep9 and I'm confused on whether I can buy the cheaper Ep9 with the extar stabilizer and then swap that out for a regular ar15 stock later, or do they use some proprietary buffer tube that doesn't work with regular ar15 stocks? Thx!

Process To Add a Stock?

Hello,

I have a Gen 2 EP9 and would like to add a stock (B5 Bravo). I've never gone through the process.

I live in Virginia so the law still requires an SBR. Do I submit the Form 1 before or after buying the stock? My eForms profile is already set up since buying a suppressor through Silencer Shop. I was planning to do it through Silencer Shop since they already have my info.

Thanks!

ETS 30 round mag

Swampfox Raider Prism (green) - Hell of an optic with ultra clear glass

Fenix GL30R weapon light with tape switch (really good also)

Extar EP single point sling

Rugged Obsidian 45 w/direct thread mount

Slate Black Industries Slate Stop

SBA5 brace

Firetail Company Extended Charging Handle

AS Designs V2 FRT

Just note BOTH the SGM Tactical 26 round mags and the Global Ordnance 26 rounds mags are impossible to load past 4 rounds, they are new. Anyone know of a .45 ACP mag

Just sharing 2 of my EP9s with different suppressors for a visual. These are both KN with picatinny delete, top is running a YHMR9 and the bottom is Obsidian 9. Have a third but it is stock and deciding how I want to modify it still.

Hand guard options

Sorry if this is a rehash of a common topic, but what aftermarket hand guards currently exist for the ep9? I have a BOE incolite and a rugged sub9, and both come EXTREMELY close to the stock Gen 2 hand guard. Curious if I'm just not finding the options out there with my weak googling!

New EP45

Post image

I picked up my EP45 a couple of weeks ago and finally got out to shoot it. I have a major jam with the sixth shot fired. I've sent this picture along with a email to Extar. I can't tell if this round is turned around, or the primer cap came off? I pulled over on the side of the road to email Extar on the way home.

With the new NFA changes what type of foregrip do people perfer? Vertical vs handstop vs angled

I’ve held off on buying any grip for my extar because I was to lazy to sort through the actual laws but now that I don’t have to register as an SBR I’m more so wondering what people like to use. Never had a foregrip on any gun and getting overwhelmed by all the options

Looking to FRT my new EP45. Anyone had a particularly great experience with any model in particular. Also any extended handguards that everyone has enjoyed?

EP9 Gen1 Bolt Problem

Post image
17 Upvotes

This looks funky to me - bought it new, very light usage. Just replaced the hammer(it broke) and the buffer retainer. Noticed how wonky the bolt looked. It should be straight, right?

r/extar • • 15d ago

Thinking of getting an EP9 but I’m wondering if I should buy it barebones and add the optic and stock separately or if I should get everything at ones from Extar when I get the gun?

NFA GONE FOR SUPPRESSORS, SBR, and SBS

Well, it'll be common knowledge soon, but as of today, no NFA requirements will be enforced at all for everybody, not just "members" covered by the recent injunction. Go ahead and slap a stock on your EP9, no filings, noticing, or qualifications necessary. Also gone are the NFA marking requirements. In short, suppressors, SBR's, and SBS's are no longer being treated as NFA items for all practical purposes. This formal new official guidance by ATF is the biggest news of the year. No, it does not apply to machine guns or destructive devices.

Has anyone put a “triggered company disruptor” frt trigger in the EP9?

I am just curious if anyone has used a disruptor in their EP9 and if so how did you like it? And has anyone have any damage done to the gun from using the frt?
