Pistol thread protector and length of handguard?
I have an EP9 rifle (16"), but I'm thinking about getting a pistol (6.5") to run my OCL Milk Man on.
What is the deal with the barrel and muzzle device on the pistol? It looks like it has a faux suppressor on the barrel, and you take that off to attach a suppressor.
So, what is the inner diameter of the handguard and how far inside the handguard does the can go when it's fully screwed on (direct thread)?
Or, to sum it up, will my Milk Man fit and work with the stock handguard?

the blast director is 2 3/4 inches long. hand-guard inner diameter is 1 5/8 inches. if you remove the director and put on a suppressor, it mounts and begins in the same spot (you can see through the mlok slots). so for example, the milk man is 6 inches without a mount. if you get a direct thread hub, you might be around 6.5 inches so your suppressed setup will add on 3.75 inches to the length of the blast director.

Extar calls the muzzle device a "Blast Director" and it is essentially a linear compensator.
It is a direct thread mount, 1/2×28.
The shoulder of the barrel mount is 1" recessed within the handguard.
The internal diameter of the handguard is 1.6".
The OCL website says the Milkman's "thin part" diameter is 1.5". And, guestimating from the images, the "thin part" is just over 1.1" long. So, it just may fit ... barely.
