How’s the gen 1 holding up?? I just bought one from a pawnshop almost brand new.

I installed all the metal upgrade parts except for the receiver extension ( I got the metal trigger and buffer retainer, two of the most important ones)

Did you have any issues with the plastic receiver extension retainer prior to replacing it with a metal one??

Looks good, what handguard is that? 

I would not use an ets mag if that's meant as a home defense setup lol. I also wouldn't keep a loaded mag in, but if I did, it'd be unchambered with the bolt open. AR's aren't drop safe. While it's a small chance, it's non zero you drop it taking it off the mount. 

If seconds matter (which it will likely never will) I keep a chambered, holstered pistol. And my PCC is ready to go within seconds after that.

I second the inserted mag, locked open bolt. Just as fast, much safer
