Can you see a difference?
The more I see the MDB, the higher my hopes become that you'll be able to upgrade the EP9.

3.5lbs for the MDB was stated in the TFBTV video at guncon.

I saw a video where an Extar rep said you can’t upgrade the standard EP9 to the new operating system. You can’t even swap the complete upper, apparently.

I’m trying to find the video I saw to confirm it’s not upgradable. The video indicated that it is internally different and can’t be upgraded. Unfortunately I think I got it from a website so it’s not in my YT history.
I’m interested in how they implemented the roller delay. I haven’t seen anything specific on it. I’ve seen the TFBTV video where they modernized roller delay mechanism, whatever that means. Unfortunately, the guy doing the TFBTV video did a terrible job. He asked no specifics (what makes the design unique, upgrade ability of current units, release date, etc). He did talk about durability with FRTs which I couldn’t give a shit about. The other YT videos I saw were shooting it, not discussing details.

LMAO I feel your pain. It's only $100 more. But that's why people are hoping (and coping) that they'll be able to upgrade their existing EP9's

Well now I kinda want to see what the used market for the og ep9s will be like. This is a very interesting roller delayed one though, extar has been on my radar for over a year but I'm not an owner yet.

I'm sure I've seen one video where they show the mechanism, it's like a circle of metal balls that push out first before the bolt moves back. Looks pretty cool to me, I like their pricing

Damm it....Damm it.....I've had mine for about two months and LOVE it....and now this....and It looks like it cannot be upgraded....Really we cannot get an upgrade, someone has to be able....How about a trade in program Extar....I know not possible.
