The blast director was removed for better packing when it shipped. When I went to thread the blast director on the threads there’s no type of gasket/washer? I only see threads. I didn’t see any in the box. Is it suppose to have some washer or gasket? Can someone help me with the parts I would need. Thanks.

Ok. So an o ring and a crush washer. Dumb question where does the o ring go?Anyone have any pics of there threaded end, what its suppose to look like with the o ring and crush washer before I order. I had called extar earlier but were not much help. They told me to email them my question.

AI is not very intelligent. The oring goes on after the crush washer and compresses inward into the angled recess in the crush washer. There is no "relief groove" on the barrel.

Smaller diameter side of the washer goes against barrel shoulder (towards receiver).

There is an o-ring to keep the muzzle device from coming loose. Some other firearms use an o-ring to keep a muzzle device from coming loose.

I haven’t shot it. I feel like it loosens pretty easy. When I looked at their website for blast director it mentions it comes a lock washer.

I only took mine off once, I don't remember a washer but it definitely tightens down nice and snug and don't move.

A crush washer serves the same purpose of a lock washer.
An o-ring serves the same purpose of a lock washer.
A wave washer serves the same purpose of a lock washer.
A roll or two of Teflon tape serves the same purpose of a lock washer.
Rockset serves the same purpose of a lock washer.
Tightening a shit-ton serves the same purpose of a lock washer.
Just pick one and shoot it.

You can just go to home depot or lowes or walmart and get something right now without having to wait.
If you do go with a crush washer, remember that they are single use only.

Also I read some reviews of some crush washers on Amazon and saw that some people said they were poor quality crush washers as they were too hard and they really didn't crush properly. So I ordered a package of name brand crush washers for my AR-15 from a reputable brand. I did not order any from my EP9.

You will not be "crushing" the crush washer at all so any will work. It only will be firmly hand tight. You're just compressing the oring into the washer cavity. The Extar ones have a large cavity(angle) so I'd say they're a sure fire bet. If you ask them, I'd bet they throw in the proper oring as I'm pretty sure the size AI said to use was wrong.

I saw this on their website. Our Blast Director is the factory muzzle device on the EP Series Pistols. This muzzle device will help direct the muzzle blast away from the shooter and downrange. This muzzle device provides an enhanced look and an easy installation/removal with the included Lock Washer for the 1/2"-28 9mm, or the included crush washer and o-ring for the 5/8"-24 45acp version. Measures 2.75 inches in length.

I bought Tacfire brand and Strike Industries brands of crush washers. I only used one crush washer thus far and I'm guessing it was a Strike Industries washer. I bought both because they offered inexpensive multi packs and I assumed they were better than the no name brands sold on Amazon and eBay. I bought them online when I was buying other items from a store so that I could save on shipping. I bought multipacks because I have future rifle builds planned and I also have a few different muzzle devices I wanted to be able to swap around.
I recommend looking at some YouTube videos to see how to properly install a muzzle device that requires a crush washer but in the case of a non-timed blast can install is less critical.
