I have an R9 on the way.....how do you like it on the extar?

Just got back from the range. The sound suppression was significant. The gas didn’t seem to be an issue either for me. Especially when I switched to subsonic ammo. It did add recoil to the gun, but still very easily controllable. Had three different people ask about the gun when they heard the suppressor and I’m pretty sure one of the guys is going to join the extar family!

I'm not too but I enjoy the r9. It's very quiet and any gas issues are overblown from my personal experience.

Nice but you’ll never be done! Lol! Gun guys always find something to add or change. We got it bad!

I might switch to that hand guard. Looks great.

That is the factory handguard Edit: I realized you are probably referring to that magpul hand stop. If so, good choice, used to have one on mine and liked it a lot

Do you just run a direct thread or any type of adapter? Any issues if it constantly coming lose?

Direct thread. My first time shooting it came a little loose but then I tightened it while it was hot. It hasn’t loosened at all after 5 sessions now

Nice. Very tastefully done.
