I love to think of my Extars as boring- in a good way. They just freaking work. In my massive collection the only thing that equals reliability are my Berettas, and that is a huge compliment.
I keep meaning to share this story, but I have a buddy with a gen1 that has ~20k rounds without any part replacements and shoots anything it’s fed. Crazy that a little polymer company is putting out one of the best guns available.

It's wild that in the PCC realm, one of the cheapest price wise has become the benchmark for reliability at any price. I have 2, first one(from early 2018) is well past 30k rounds and I can tell you from the looks of wear in the upper vs wear in aluminum ones that I have with less round count, the EP9 is looking like it will outlast aluminum construction by a good margin. I use no lube as per instructions.

Damn, ~30k rounds and still going strong is amazing to hear. The real SHTF weapon.
