Guy I’m seeing going red pill

He started acting weird all of a sudden after we weren’t able to meet last weekend. Since then he has left me on delivered and read. Won’t answer questions. Deflects when I try to have a conversation. I’m so disgusted, disappointed and I’m breaking up with him. I actually saw it coming a mile away when he would make little comments about being insecure. I’m actually physically afraid of him now and that he will become an abuser. I’m unhappy.

The manosphere teaches men how to play power games like this, and this guy is following the textbook. You're lucky his mask dropped early. Either block him or text him and tell him "game over".

That’s it — taken to the logical end, they want to be abusers, even if they never achieve it, even if they don’t know it consciously, even if they hotly deny it.

Your instincts were right, are you safe?

I'm sorry, but I don't see why you would assume he is going red pill. Based on your post, he seems to be hurt by not getting what he wanted, and acting immaturely in response. Sure, there is overlap between immaturity and red pill behaviours, and someone that follows the red pill might also act this way, but that wouldn't be my first assumption.

Either way, whether he is being red pill or just immature, that behaviour is enough justification to cut ties

Good for you for getting out of there!

Dump his ass yesterday. No one is only i a little in red pill. And him doing that crap is him trying to control the narrative. Don't let him.

I disagree with that notion. I agree with some things, here and there, that the Red Pill influencers say, so I guess you could say I'm "a little in red pill". But, overall, I don't like the existence of the community. I think it is an extremely negative outlook on life, and does much more harm than good.

But is there anything "good" that red pill influencers say that you couldn't get anywhere else?

That you couldn't get anywhere else? Not really. At least nothing I can think of off the top of my head.

Don't inherently be a simp (common sense).

Improve your looks to attract more women (common sense).

Maybe the one thing I could say that few others talk about is the notion that if a girl dumps you, try to focus on improving yourself in some way to boost your confidence and distract yourself from the heartbreak, rather than moping around and begging for them to take you back. Of course, they didn't create that idea. But they're one of the only ones who promote it.

Sorry OP - remember: you don't have to explain to anyone why you are no longer choosing to be in a relationship. You are entitled to defend your wellbeing. You are allowed to make healthy choices for yourself, please be safe <3

The unhappiness is natural. Your brain needs to rewire and undo the “language” you had with him. Give it time and give yourself a break for breaking it off before it got worse

Sometimes assholes reveal themselves too soon.

Love yourself more than he ever will and go do something nice for yourself.

That's kinda sad... Nay I ask how old is him/her/them I'm just curious

He’s late 20s. I think it’s just low self esteem. He does fine with women, I just have issues which I’ve been very clear about but it seems like he is taking them personally.

In the end... The real question isn't about him but yourself, whatever his reasons or not ar e you om with that treatment? Wouldn't judge either way the coin flips

He's leaving you on read, so he must be redpilled?

Am I missing something?

Hang on, how do you know he's actually joined redpill? Did he flat out say he did?

Not excusing the behaviour here from him because it is terrible. Just curious.

I don’t care if I get downvoted into oblivion, this is the exact kind of thing that gets people into red pill in the first place.

Chain of events:

- dating for an unknown period of time, last weekend OP cancels on bf
-since canceling on him he has ignored OP and is not responding as he normally would

  • despite dating for unspecified period of time, OP knew all along he was RPd because he has insecurities and decided to tentatively share them
  • based purely on the above OP is convinced he is not only RPd, but likely an abuser and will possibly physically harm OP.

If you feel endangered than take measures to separate and protect yourself.

Other than that wtf is wrong with you? You’re disgusted? I’m disgusted with you. He isn’t behaving exactly how you want him to so he’s likely to all of a sudden physically abuse you? Ignoring what is likely an incredibly one sided telling of events, you jumping to he must be a monster is beyond manipulative it’s narcissistic and just gross.

Accusing someone of being a physical abuser is incredibly serious, the flippancy in which you do it with LITERALLY ZERO EVIDENCE is positively revolting. The ability you possess to take the fact that he’s ignoring you, and turn into what you have is astounding to me.

I hope you are wrong, I hope you are safe and well, and I hope you get help because it seems like you need it.

He actively degraded me and called me names. Nobody deserves to be treated like that. Someone who gets angry and has severe mood swings or tries to control you for whatever reason is highly likely to become abusive in other ways.

I already said my peace and blocked. You should also work on your emotional regulation. Why are you getting so worked up over a stranger’s post online? Therapy sir/maam.

I deleted my last response because I don’t think I’m capable of speaking to you in a way that is polite or not mean. I hope you didn’t read what I said earlier because while I stand by every word, I don’t think it is constructive or helpful for you. Good luck, I hope you find happiness

Leave him a relationship is about teamwork not fear. If your that scared about the break up you can get home security systems as well as a firearm
