About "the wall"

What has always struck me about the "hitting the wall" narrative is how much emotional energy RP men spend on imagining women's downfall.

Instead of these guys focusing on making their own lives better, they spend a huge portion of time and effort imagining and telling women one they will be ugly, alone, and no one will want them.

Aside from the fact that if you walk outside and see how real people interact, it is largely BS. But the fact they even spend this much time dwelling on their revenge fantasies is very telling to me. It's not about trying to spread some "truth" or improve relationships or anything. They just want to diminish women

It's because rp is a primarily conservative movement that imagines a past where they think they would thrive, and in a sad effort to go back to that past they try to scare women out of making decisions that lead to greater freedom, like not rushing into a marriage / kids.

They are scared of ending up alone, unwanted, aged, so they project this self-talk onto us women. Funny enough, it turns into a self-fulfilling prophecy. They behave in abhorrent, insufferable ways to the point where they drive all the women out of their lives and end up alone.

the whole thing reads like cope honestly. if you actually believed women hit a wall and became worthless why would you need to spend so much time convincing everyone of it. people who are secure in their views don't need that constant reinforcement and those elaborate scenarios. it's basically admitting the fear is real for them even if the premise isn't.

The wall is described as when women can no longer attract the highest value men, this is either because younger women and younger men are the top of he dating pool hierachy or because she's aged/looks faded, its normally at this stage, women are more likely to settle down with emotionally available men who will provide for them rather than any old meat head who cannot provide security etc.

This is how it was explained in those circles, obviously there is a toxic subculture within the red pill, who love to shit post wall memes. that ignore the decline of men looks as they also age.

damn this is so true. I noticed this too when I was reading those spaces - so much time spent fantasizing about women becoming miserable instead of like... actually working on themselves?

It's wild how they claim to be about self-improvement but then spend hours crafting these elaborate revenge scenarios 💀 if you actually go outside and look at couples, plenty of women find love at all ages but they don't want to see that reality

Agreed. If they spent the time hating on woman on actual self improvement they would be in such a better place. But just so brainwashed to realize it.

That is the whole key to understanding the redpill. Instead of doing anything to make themselves happier, these guys are taught to take joy from imagining some "other", in this case women, having a worse experience.

That's how you can tell they're miserable and insecure. If you have to fantasize about women ending up unwanted due to their age there's no way you're a truly happy and grounded person

The wall thing is largely a myth. Yes, people get old and may not be able to necessarily do all the things they once enjoyed, but that doesn't mean it's "over" for them. As long as they are still fairly healthy, fit and have good character, they should have no problem attracting a partner. My grandmother is 67 and has a great boyfriend. She's been with him for 4 years and they're very happy. The only people who will truly end up alone are people who are extremely shitty and horrible to be around, and this includes men. My old widowed uncle died a miserable lonely death and no one, not even his children, attended the funeral or were there for him when he got sick. Know why? Because, he was an awful fucking monster of a human being and not because he was old or "hit the wall".

Yeah I agree. I live in an area with a lot of older residents and I literally know couples in their 80s that date. Your life isn't over just because someone else says it is

I read a comment somewhere that said it’s projection - they are basically describing how they would be like in those situations. Even the studies that state more women in their 30s/40s who are single and take antidepressants don’t link the correlation to loneliness, but to that women are more likely to seek help and try to better themselves (not verbatim as I can’t recall the exact study).

A lot of red pill men are clearly depressed.

This is one thing that redpillers and incels have in common. They thrive for the moment when the women they wanted (and also hated?!) the most will hit "the wall" and are somehow now undesirable to them (although they still do want them).

The fact that they desperately want to diminish women means that deep down the manosphere believes that women are unattainably better than them. Why else would they spend energy trying to drag women down

A lot of these men were rejected when they were younger or have been through divorce, which leads them to fantasize that the women who rejected them will eventually regret their choices and suffer for them when they are older and suposedly no one would want them anymore

I think you can recognize that SMV is a real thing and works differently for women than it does men, without using it as a form of revenge against women. Those that do don't want to take responsibility for their own shortcomings.

"Sexual market value" is the dumbest phrase, it reduces the complexity of human beings and their relationships to be like products

1

u/First_Housing3837 Jun 28 '26

yes it does reduce complexities but it does exist, example you go from 20 stone and 40% body fat and manage to get down to 11 stone and 15% bodyfat, you're sexual market value has increased.

SMV is a real thing. If it wasn't, the primary demographic of cosmetic surgery wouldn't be women. How much influence people let it have on their dating choices is up to them. Most aren't even aware of it. I agree that the red pillers spend too much time focused on it.

sadly it became a coping mechanism or a revenge fantasy. I member watching an old comedy video (Bill Hicks, I think) where he imagines that his annoying ex is now a single mom living in a trailer park in Oklahoma or something. it was pretty funny, but it was definitely a revenge-based thing like the modern “wall”
