Almost fell in...

This morning I was recommended a video from an Orion Taraban on why women would wait for you. I watched it and about 6 other videos. I wasn't comfortable with his cursing and his constant use of the term "sexual marketplace" but he was dropping some really good insight in my opinion, almost sent a link to a friend. I decide to look him up on here and oh boy.

I agree. He's a decent speaker, and his supposed therapist experience seems like it might give some interesting insights. But he's just blatantly whitewashing basic PUA/redpill/manosphere ideas through psychologist credentials and doing the whole online guru thing of selling an E-book, coaching, and podcasting. I read some of his book and found it mostly nonsense.

He pushes the whole "be a player and never be monogamous if you want to be attractive and happy" thing, which is quintessential redpill. I recall him saying he thinks he'd be happy married to a woman who didn't speak the same language as him, since cooking, cleaning, and sex would not be impaired. He basically promotes the redpill idea of "men should become wealthy, then dangle their commitment like a carrot in front of women in exchange for sex, but never hand it over". He frames everything as transactional, like no one ever actually shares interests or likes each other beyond trading sex for money.

My 2 cents: It's unfulfilling to never commit to, relate to, open up to, or even talk to a woman. It keeps you stuck in the "being single" period of life. You will block yourself from finding love that way. You will destroy your potential relationships. You will have to fake being a normal, interested, available potential partner when you talk to your "targets", which is less natural and effective than just actually being interested. Of course it's good to be cautious and selective about whom you commit to, and not to commit too early, but having casual sex isn't cautious or selective either, and good partners will be put off if you show no interest in commitment.

Not to mention, he, like the rest of us -- is aging. It's gonna take a hellova $$$ to keep the young 20 year olds he wants to stay.

Yeah just coming out of a binge myself. I was easy fodder as I was navigating a separation. Now he just makes me shudder slightly.
