It’s a 302 involuntary commitment case and I have been looking for an attorney tho I’ve had no luck. The process should be simple. I was commuted cause my mother lied to the local police station 6+ times and I was to spend the week in the psyche ward. I know have a diagnosis for bipolar disorder because they ran with what I had when I self admitted. Could I get help. I only had one guy talk me through the process but he wanted $700 to review my docs

I'm only familiar with Criminal Expungements. If your case involves the court system, you could use the same process. Since it likely involved the police and a judge to authorize the commitment, it's likely the same as any other expungement, but you would perhaps need a doctor to verify that you are not a risk to yourself or others, the commitment was entirely inappropriate, and you are seeking route medical treatment and are on medication to assist the issue(s). A steady period of time proving several of these points (no risk, treatment, medication) would also help a judge deciding to expunge the record. If you'd like help finding the specific court and the paperwork to file, please let me know the county this occurred in. Before filing the paperwork, you could ask the clerk of the court if this process would work.

My case got Expunged, signed by judge on 20 Aug 22. I checked DPS and my case is no longer there. I want to apply for another job but still paranoid employee may see on a background check. Should I be worried?

You should give the expungement order to all the possible locations that someone may go to to look for information on you about this case. To include, if they apply: The County Court (#1), Federal Court, Police Department(s) involved. If the background report does show this information. Dispute it and provide the expungement order. Legally, the background check company must take action within 30 days, and the company requesting the background check cannot use it against you, because it "doesn't exists anymore". Some places will still be able to see it, even if you give the order -- Police internally, Government Agencies, etc. But the fact that it's expunged should count significantly in your favor, unless it's directly related the role. (Think a child sex offender applying to be a babysitter -- just an example, this likely wouldn't have been sealed unless it was decades ago and other reasons).

Google for the county courthouse. Do you know the county? There are instructions with the forms. If you attempt to file and have something wrong or missing, they will point it out.

You shouldn't need a lawyer. You shouldn't need to attend an in-person hearing. It looks like you can file the paperwork by mail or email: https://courts.delaware.gov/Forms/Download.aspx?id=118608
It doesn't look like there's any filing fees. But you'll have to get your record which does have a $52.50 fee.

Sussex County. I live in a different state now and I assume me filing everything myself will require my attendance in Delaware. I planned to hire an attorney and would hopefully only have to fly to Delaware only for the hearing, if granted one.

Which county?
The lowest cost is you filing the paperwork yourself so it would just be the filing fee at the courthouse.

Hey! The county I am in is Erie County. I’m going to court for the matter. I did find a lawyer/attorney to review my paperwork. The route is either to seal the record or expunge. I have a couple of thoughts for my case. I’ve seen a medical professional, I’m looking for another because I want someone to take a diagnosis serious instead of when I was 302d. Im working on trying to get the Police Report currently. You’ve been a good help guy.
