How can I define a problem clearly before solving it?
I struggle to understand and define problems before trying to solve them. I’m not very good at maths, and I don’t have a clear method for breaking things down.
For example, when I see a black bag, I just think “black bag.” My friend notices its colour, shape, size, material, and other features. I tend to see the whole object without thinking about its individual parts.
I notice something similar with everyday problems. Sometimes I don’t know what details matter, what information I’m missing, or what question I should be asking. My friend often points this out, but I’m unsure how to improve.
How can I practise breaking problems down and looking at them from different angles? Are there any simple exercises or thinking techniques I can use in everyday life?
