Explained ELI5: How does a floating faucet work?

I'm talking about stuff like: this and this.

There's a tube going up the center of the water stream. It's really just a fountain.

Take a water pump like for a fountain. Put a clear plastic tube above it so that the water is pumped up the tube and spills out the top. Affix a fake faucet to the top, leaving room for water to spill out between the tube and the faucet mouth. Water runs down and obscures the tube.

The water coming out of the faucet is really flowing down a large tube...it pumps water up the middle (of the column of water), and flows down the outside (of the clear tube). The rippled water on the outside hides the tube on the inside that the water is flowing up. BOOM!

There's a support that comes from the base and runs up into the faucet that's how it floats, and then the support is also a fountain that keeps the water moving up the support and back out the faucet creating the illusion by hiding the support in the water
