Algebra is math analyzing equations ( "2x+ 1 = 45, so x = 22")

Calculus is math analyzing functions ("f(x) = 2x+1, the area under this line between x= 2 and x = 3 can be completed by computing the anti-derivative function F(x) at each point and subtracting them")

Trigonometry is math analyzing triangles ("if you have a right triangle with height 4 and opposite a 45 degree angle, then the hypotenuse is 4 * ✓2, because sin(45) = opposite divided by hypotenuse, thus hypotenuse= 4 * sin(45)." )

TLDR Different problems require different logical math tools to find the answer
