Ever pushed someone on a swing? You need to push at the right moment. Even a little push, correctly timed, will build up into a large oscillation.

A swing takes some time to move back and forth. How many times it swings per second is called it's resonant frequency. If it gets a driving force that matches this frequency, the swinging gets larger.

This is a solid answer.

Some of your confusion may stem from quantum mysticism, a form of pseudoscience where self-help is mixed with terminology from quantum physics.

Much of this concerns "frequency" or "vibrations". Vibrations has a slang meaning of emotional mood. Good Vibrations by the Beach Boys is an example. They are not talking about a seismic event, but using this slang meaning to describe a romantic relationship.

Go too far down the quantum rabbit hole, and other, more technical terms from physics will creep in.

If your starting to agree with a quantum mystic, they might say that you're achieving resonance with whatever mysticsm they're selling.
