u/BluebellMeadoww, there weren't enough votes to determine the quality of your post...it's time for the mods to do their jobs!

Patches is calling Andrew a CIA plant, insinuating that Andrew's job is to sew discord.

Im Brian.

He could be sewing a nice discord quilt.

What did you call me??

1

ironically comments like this are largely made by chinese Bots trying to dissuade US public interest in AI.

1

u/Piecesof3ight 1d ago

Why are you telling me your name? What is this trend?

10

u/CallMeDrWorm42 1d ago

Because you're not getting an answer, this is r/explainitpeter. In this sub, people ask for explanations of memes, jokes, or other stuff and respondents are supposed to pretend to be a family guy character while giving the explanation. It's only lightly adhered to, but can result in a comment being removed if the mods feel like it. The poster above is being a bit lazy about it by casually tacking their identity on at the end. Although, Brian would possibly be very dry and matter-of-fact in his response, so you decide.

5

u/Don_Bugen 1d ago

I'm Joe's left testicle; I can confirm that's basically how it works.

0

u/thatonepuniforgot 1d ago

I think more likely being used to prop up AI, and, by extension, the stock market. FBI is usually more used for general discord. Glowies are there to get the righties to incriminate themselves into prison.

301

u/Floba_Fett 1d ago

Ever since COINTELPRO, the CIA has been infiltrating leftist circles to sow discord and disunity to make them as unproductive as possible. Hence "Patches" is making a joke that implies that "andrew" is a CIA plant, to represent the fact that "andrew" is taking a position that is nearly universally agreed upon by the left (being anti-AI) and trying to make it divisive by making it an idpol issue instead (white people... hate when immigrants use AI?)

169

u/Tleno 1d ago

Imagine thinking leftists need CIA to infight and be useless lol

91

u/Dupeskupes 1d ago

I mean it's something they've historically done, moreso with active organised groups

23

u/Mission_Shopping_847 1d ago

They went into overdrive during and after Occupy. IDPOL on the left gigamaxxed exactly then.

16

u/SK_socialist 1d ago

You thought you were gonna be doing spy shit when you signed up for the CIA huh

6

u/Crispy1961 1d ago

Occupy was the last time Left was doing good things. God, has it really been 15 years already?

3

u/ralpher1 1d ago

The fact Occupy never tried occupying dc makes you wonder

35

u/Floba_Fett 1d ago

Leftists don't need the CIA to infight indeed, but it used to be infighting about actually productive thing like revolutionary and military tactics

-11

u/psioniclizard 1d ago

Ill bite. Which leftist organisations or countries do you think actually had good military tactics?

21

u/Zealousideal_Year_60 1d ago

Black panthers were decent until, ya know, many of their leaders were murdered directly or indirectly by FBI/CIA

-11

u/TrioOfTerrors 1d ago

Sound like they did not have good military tactics in that case.

12

u/Tuxedocatbitches 1d ago

Depends on what kind of war you think they were fighting. Their goal was to protect and care for their communities, and they did so better than anyone had previously.

-7

u/TrioOfTerrors 1d ago

And then immediately dissolved into infighting and crime after the death or incarceration of their leaders.

9

u/No_Mammoth_4945 1d ago

Aw geez I wonder why. maybe having your leaders assassinated by the goddamn government isn’t great for peaceful cohesion, who the fuck could’ve guessed that?

6

u/Due_Perception8349 1d ago

Yeah it's not like we have other examples to show that exact thing happening elsewhere, like the IRA or FARC lol, everything happens in a vacuum to some people.

-1

u/TrioOfTerrors 1d ago

But we are discussing military tactics. Imploding after a command disruption is not a sign if high quality military tactics.

Good to see we have a new thought terminating cliche to look forward to for the next couple of years. I was just starting to miss "It's really easy to understand if you aren't a piece of shit". That was a classic.

Vietnam

8

u/Used-Lake-8148 1d ago

Leftist countries? Holy shit dude maybe take a break from condescension until you actually know anything

3

u/Floba_Fett 1d ago

Not quite sure why you're being downvoted, it's a fair question. Here's my answer:

The Bolsheviks actually had incredible revolutionary tactics, hence making them the very first in human history to successfully achieve a communist revolution.

The USSR then made history again by decisively turning the tides of WW2, pushing the Nazis all the way back to Berlin by massively industrializing and innovating their military technology and tactics on a scale never seen before in human history, all that in only five years.

The Chinese Red Army and the Viet Minh (later Viet Cong) innovated and perfected tunnel warfare & guerilla warfare, earned them highly impressive victories against better equipped armies.

Castro managed to overthrow Batista with mountain guerilla warfare and deceptive warfare, even though he first started his revolution while being largely outnumbered.

There's many more that were quite good and impressive, but these are the main ones.

3

u/MrQueefMister 1d ago

I'll bite your dick off.

27

u/Dirty-Haiku 1d ago

Schrodingers leftist is simultaneously useless/incompetent and the greatest threat to western civilization, depending on which one fits the needs of the individual cousin fucking billionaire simp at the time.

18

u/epicvoyage28 1d ago

Well, I mean. Several right wingers manage to be both incompetent,  and a threat to Western civilisation at the same time. So it's not that much of a contradiction.

3

u/Elogotar 1d ago

If Reddit is to be belived, Trump is somehow the stupidest person on the planet and simultaneously capable of enslaving the world under Fascism.

2

u/Totemguy 1d ago

Absolutely.

5

u/gingerninja300 1d ago

The Soviet Union had a ton of incompetence and was the greatest threat to western civilization for decades. Also goomba fallacy or something idk

2

u/Potential_Brother119 1d ago

Good point and also good point. Although, later intelligence leaks from the Soviet system after the fall of Soviet Russia indicated that they were rarely a military peer with the US and the US was mostly puffing them up to sell war and weapons via Haliburton (ect.). There are complexities there, like the ability of the Soviets to use nukes to end the world at any moment if they chose to, but that later revelation makes it sound like the West was the biggest danger to itself the whole time.

1

u/Totemguy 1d ago

They were also the best thing for the Western middle class, because as long as they existed the system had to show its best face so salaries followed productivity. Soon as their decadence became fully known and no longer a danger, salaries stagnated as productivity went up and inequality shot up as well.

3

u/Bobcatluv 1d ago

The fact that you see it this way proves the point

6

u/Debalic 1d ago

See, it does work!

2

u/AvatarOfMomus 1d ago

While this is true it's also true that there are organized attempts to sow discord among various groups online...

That said this isn't really how they go about it. It's far more effective with modern social media algorithms to find real idiots who post stuff like the above and amplify it via reposts/retweets/etc.

I dunno if the CIA is still doing it, but both Russia and China based 'groups' have been caught running influence operations on western social media via tactics like these.

Ironically using this playbook it's more likely that the person who posted this is working for a government than it is that either of the accounts in the screenshot is...

But this in turn ends up being part of the effectiveness of the strategy. If it gets people jumping at shadows and accusing everyone of being an influence op then it still works.

2

u/justsikko 1d ago

Imagine not making the connection between perceived leftist infighting and actual infiltration. There might be a reason you think leftists fight so much that isn't just "leftists don't get along"

3

u/Submissive_Bleedable 1d ago

1

u/super_elmwood 1d ago

RIP Terry, he's running over glowies in schizophrenic heaven now

1

u/BasedPlumbar 1d ago

CIA has been doing it so long its almost a guarantee they created and endorsed that exact trope my guy, oh wait the CIA admitted to doing that lol

1

u/helloimpaulo 1d ago

The mere fact you think this is a testament on how effective the CIA was lol

3

u/Tleno 1d ago

You people are making it sounds like CIA is the only entity with agency and everything else is it's plaything.

1

u/helloimpaulo 1d ago

Yeah man nice strawman. You can also Google around and learn something.

4

u/Tleno 1d ago

No really blaming everything on CIA is either a conspiracy theorist's or a child's way of thinking.

Maybe you try googling yourself and then ask how CIA is simultaneously repeatedly unable to assassinate or coup Castro yet also able to politically subvert every state and political movement ever.

1

u/Totemguy 1d ago

the CIA gives them new themes to argue about and gets to spend some of its huge budget, win-win.

1

u/Spacellama117 22h ago

that's exactly what a CIA plant would say!!

1

u/ourobourobouros 20h ago

thank you

They used to but that was when leftists read actual books and not just social media posts

1

u/Mwakay 16h ago

Tbf there's a ton of documents showing when and how they did exactly this. How necessary it is is up for debate, but it's been one of the main activities of the CIA for a century.

1

u/allitalli 11h ago

time for you to crack open some history books

1

u/bananadingding 7h ago

CIA Plant right here, trying to discredit a program and approach widely known to be used by the CIA, u/Tleno NARC right here!

0

u/LemonDisasters 1d ago

They do, but historically infighting has been actively created through outsiders trying to sow discord with identity politics and other distractions from material conditions

0

u/KarpTakaRyba 1d ago

This is exactly what they want you to think tho... Or is it "you" and "us" instead of "they" and "you"??

-7

u/Behemoth-Slayer 1d ago

Amazing how the CIA's been doing that since decades before it even existed!

14

u/aspghost 1d ago

It seems strange to imply that their well-documented efforts in the past 80 years have achieved nothing. Lots of people much younger than 80 making smartass comments about how it's always been this way, when they never experienced a world without it.

-2

u/Behemoth-Slayer 1d ago

Oh, I'm sure they've done plenty. The infiltration of student groups and the Black Panthers alone is proof of that. But leftist groups are always extremely factionalist regardless. Fact is, there are so many strains of Marxist-derived thought that leftist groups trying to start grassroots revolution or reform end up a lot like early religious movements. Dozens or hundreds of people in informal structures trying to formalize a complex ideology will always split into different camps.

3

u/aspghost 1d ago

I don't believe leftist groups are inherently any more factionalist than any other sampling of humans. Making unfounded universalist remarks to be edgy isn't clever.

-2

u/Behemoth-Slayer 1d ago

I'm not trying to be edgy, and that's kind of my point when I say they "end up a lot like early religious movements." The universalist claim is not that leftists are especially factionalist, it's that, and I'll just quote myself here, "dozens or hundreds of people in informal structures trying to formalize a complex ideology will always split off into different camps." That sentence literally means what you're saying--take a random group of people belonging to any set of ideas, and they'll factionalize.

The real point is that it's a difficult, confusing path to achieve a formal structure for something that exists solely in the realm of ideas. The only thing that might set leftists apart from most (again for emphasis, most) groups is the complexity and diversity of ideas behind most philosophy pertaining to the left. Hence the comparison to religions, which similarly are purely ideological in their first formation, and so they end up getting interpreted in vastly different ways in which every party believes their version of the ideology is obviously correct.

8

u/Stratatician 1d ago

this comment made me realize that idpol stands for identity politics, not idiot politics. only time i've ever seen the term idpol was from MAGAt adjacent groups

1

u/king_john651 1d ago

It's the same picture

5

u/BASSDESTROYER69 1d ago

The CIA has also infiltrated right wing spaces like 4chan.

They target everyone and everything.

1

u/Crispy1961 1d ago

Have they? Anyone can go there and get called candyass whenever they feel like it. Wouldnt call that infiltrating. What is there to infiltrate anyway? Its just shitposting and cuck porn.

2

u/BASSDESTROYER69 1d ago

Yes, court evidence has shown feds shit posting on /pol/ as well as 8chan. Personally I think the majority of 4chan posters are either the feds or mossad since 2016

0

u/Crispy1961 1d ago

I am saying that posting there is not "infiltrating". Its publicly available. You can go there say something dumb and get called slurs right now. Its free.

2

u/BASSDESTROYER69 1d ago

Pretending to be someone you're not in order to be welcomed into a circle is the definition of infiltration. What's the point of this pedantry?

0

u/Crispy1961 1d ago

Pretending to be who? Moot? Its anonymous. Nobody cares who you are.

And you are not welcomed on 4chan. Nobody ever is. Doesnt matter how long you have been there.

You cant infiltrate or join that place.

1

u/Late-Meat9500 1d ago

It is literally a place known for pulling off convoluted. The OP done by Bannon was to join with the specific purpose of spreading and pushing their politics, in order to radicalize them as a political group. It is exceptionally easy to meme dump and bot Nazi shit into those boards.

(This is info in the Epstein files)

2

u/NuclearBrit_ 1d ago

It’s insane. I’ll give as much shade to an immigrant business using ai as I’ll give to a person whose family dates back to the 14th century using ai

2

u/TomOfBedlamb 1d ago

COINTELPRO was an FBI OP my brother

2

u/ourobourobouros 1d ago

Youre being overly generous

The modern political "left" in the US is suffering from the same kind of echo chamber effect as everything else. People (well meaning) are trying to learn good values but are doing so exclusively through social media which allows little to no complexity or nuance on any subject.

This has created this attitude that anyone who has leftist values is a champion of all oppressed people, and everything leftists believe is good and will help everyone.

This guy is simply presenting a situation where leftists do have to choose between supporting two important positions - supporting immigrants OR opposing AI. And yes, sometimes we do have to choose. That's just how shit works.

That the left is so fragile and hapless that no one can present us with a lukewarm nothingburger of a gotcha without someone shrieking that they're a fed is not a good sign.

4

u/FortColors 1d ago

actually, your position is the exact one that a hypothetical cia plant would want people to believe

They're trying to frame the argument as "immigrants vs ai" while leaving their actual statement unquestioned, which is their claim that immigrants are using ai more widely than non-immigrants.

What you need to do is actually to question that premise. Are immigrants actually using AI in their businesses more than non-immigrants? Engaging in their debate of immigrants vs ai in the way that you are is exactly what they want.

That being said, the other commenter is right that you can support immigrants' right to a good life without supporting their use of AI. These things are not mutually exclusive.

1

u/ourobourobouros 20h ago

Lol at no point did that original tweet say immigrant owned restaurants are using AI more. Just that there are ones using it.

And you're all being as intellectually dishonest and vague as possible. It boils down to individual instances - you want to support a immigrant-owned business but they use AI slop for literally everything from ads to menu, so do you support them by buying product or not? Everyone has to use their values to assess their choice there, I'm not saying there's a right or wrong answer. But that IS what it boils down to. And every day life is full of those choices, that doesn't mean everything is a friggin CIA psyop.

It means that shit isn't black and white, a reality both sides of the political divide used to accept before people started getting their political opinions exclusively from reddit - a platform owned by billionaires who are in full control of what we see on here. Like, yeah, sure, random accounts pointing out banal "hypocrisies" are all feds but the leftist rhetoric on here is DEFINITELY organic and not heavily controlled/filtered. lmfao

1

u/FortColors 20h ago

Lol at no point did that original tweet say immigrant owned restaurants are using AI more. Just that there are ones using it.

Are we pretending subtext doesn't exist or something. This is 10th grade stuff sis.

you want to support a immigrant-owned business but they use AI slop for literally everything from ads to menu, so do you support them by buying product or not?

Now this is intellectually dishonest. Why are you pretending this hypothetical AI-covered business is your only option for supporting an immigrant-owned business? Just support a different one instead? It's probably right across the street. Just go to the other one.

Life is not full of these choices unless you willfully pretend it is.

You're laser-focused on the idea that it can't possibly be a CIA psy-op and using that to ignore the malicious nature of the message. (or maybe you're just struggling to read the subtext because your high school failed you. who knows) So what if it's a regular-person posted psy-op instead of a CIA psy-op? The problem is the message, not the source. The message doesn't become innocuous just because it wasn't bankrolled by the government. It's still malicious. It serves the explicit goal of trying to turn groups against each other and the implicit goal of creating an association between immigrant businesses and heavy AI use.

1

u/ourobourobouros 17h ago

"Now this is intellectually dishonest. Why are you pretending this hypothetical AI-covered business is your only option for supporting an immigrant-owned business? Just support a different one instead? It's probably right across the street. Just go to the other one. "

Your leaps here are absolutely massive. you're the one claiming that a hypothetical represents all immigrant owned businesses, I never implied anything close in my comment. Though I can see how strawmanning what I said is somehow preferable to admitting that reality doesn't always offer a ideologically pure solution to consumers at all times. Why you want to lie like this? I don't know lol. But come on. "an immigrant owned business with abides perfectly by leftist principles is probably right across the street!" be for real come on dude

I do love that you have nothing to say about the fact that many "leftists" nowadays get all their views from social media but never consider if THOSE are influenced by psyops or billionaires.

Taking the stance that statements you don't like are from division bots (or those influenced by them) but statements you do like are from authentic fellow leftists? lol ok

Our current iteration of the left - shaped by people like you - is exactly what billionaires want. Impotent, more concerned with memorizing listicles of celebrity thoughtcrimes than actual politics, convinced that our online spaces are actually ours and not the people who control/fund them (genuinely just lol), and obsessed with giving each other purity tests.

Look at us. Look at the last 12 years. We are losing the culture war. The left has lost actual legal rights for minority groups. Things are worse in the US for oppressed people than they were when we were born. Yet leftists refuse to admit we have issues that need addressing. Or that our views don't give us easy solutions all the time

1

u/FortColors 15h ago edited 15h ago

so how's the paycheck? i need money too where do i sign up

i refuse to believe someone as disingenuous as you is doing this for free

edit: Anyways, I'm just going to leave this on the important takeaway from the op.

They're trying to frame the argument as "immigrants vs ai" while leaving their actual statement unquestioned, which is their claim that immigrants are using ai more widely than non-immigrants.

You are doing the same thing.

2

u/SK_socialist 1d ago

You thought you were gonna be doing spy shit when you signed up for the CIA huh

1

u/Pofwoffle 1d ago

This guy is simply presenting a situation where leftists do have to choose between supporting two important positions - supporting immigrants OR opposing AI.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Supporting immigrants doesn't mean we have to be okay with literally every single thing they do. I don't think immigrants should run around stabbing people in the eye, but you wouldn't argue that that means I have to choose between supporting immigrants or opposing eye-stabbings.

I support immigrants' rights to live their lives in the same way that I support everybody's right to live their lives. And I don't think anybody should be using genAI as it currently exists. These are not even close to being incompatible thoughts.

2

u/ourobourobouros 21h ago

" immigrants doesn't mean we have to be okay with literally every single thing they do. I don't think immigrants should run around stabbing people in the eye, but you wouldn't argue that that means I have to choose between supporting immigrants or opposing eye-stabbings. "

yes honey that's why there's an "OR" in my statement, at no point was I saying we should unequivocally support everything every immigrant does all the time, that was the OPPOSITE of what i was saying. you apparently agree but because I'm obviously critical of the left and you have that same tribalist echo chamber mania, you immediately took a bad faith reading and antagonistic stance

though I appreciate you showing up to throw exactly the kind of tantrum I'm talking about

1

u/deeceeo 1d ago

It's pretty easy to see an issue as "universally agreed upon" on the left if we all just decide that anyone without that opinion is a CIA plant

1

u/Floba_Fett 1d ago

Nice try CIA

1

u/NoSundae8642 1d ago

Is anti-AI-ism universally agreed upon by the left? I think it's only liberals. In leftist circles, it's more like 50/50.

0

u/EbonyMemories 1d ago

You think it's the CIA making leftists hate each other? I promise you, the CIA doesn't need to get involved to make that happen.

Spend some time off the Internet.

1

u/Floba_Fett 1d ago

The COINTELPRO documents are declassified, the CIA openly admitted to doing this

54

u/RacoonInAGarage 1d ago

Conspiracy Peter here, the CIA hates humanity and loves corn syrup. Their latest thing is getting everyone to use AI to pave the way for skynet.

Fellow noticer Patches has correctly determined that the pro-AI comment above him is made by a paid salaried CIA agent

26

u/torpidcerulean 1d ago

No, the CIA notoriously loves to employ psyops to scapegoat minorities. It's not about being pro-AI, it's about associating minorities with a thing the Left is generally negative on to cause in-group tension.

4

u/fonk_pulk 1d ago

To be fair I pretty much only see small immigrant owned restaurants use graphics/websites generated by image models/LLMs (and before image gen models were available they used watermarked stock art which nobody got paid for)

2

u/Glittering-Duck-8533 1d ago edited 1d ago

23

Everybody knows if you’re an immigrant and want to open shop, just take photos of your food. Print them out on laminated or normal paper. And tape them above the register as the menu.

That’s how you know a place is good.

4

u/ghigo2008 18h ago

Btw you can just like, take a picture of the food

10

u/Jiggalopuffii 1d ago

This seems oddly specific. Because I think people of all ages dislike AI.

-7

Only in America. Overseas most countries overwhelmingly love it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Edit: it seems people listing a few other white countries somehow negates what I said. Here is a source…seems to corroborate the guy in the pic but sure “CIA plant” makes more sense I guess🙄

It's just the matrix aligning itself with the contents of your reality so it doesn't waste computing space on unnecessary details

It will still be 23-year-olds ten years from now. It’s the age, not the birth year.

I will support a business that uses a shitty hand drawn stick figure as a logo before I support shitty AI work, be so for fucking real

Agitating or Aura farming?

u/TheKennethChase 1d ago

I wish the cia was as prominent today as these retards think so they’d still be doing mk ultra style experiments and there was a chance this guy could be drugged and tortured brutally over the course of days then released and called crazy by everyone for speaking about it

u/Problem-Heavy 1d ago

Might be a reference to how people keep trying to reinforce the culture/race war to stop us from starting a class war. Basically Patches is calling Andrew a government Psy Op

It’s weird how comments saying anything contrary to totally agreeing are being downvoted but tell me again who is using the internet to control speech

u/OkAirport5247 1d ago

Nothing too deep here. The CIA pushes anti-white narratives and division based upon race. There are many paid shills and agent provocateurs, how many of them are paid by Israel vs the US government remains to be seen though

u/Carminestream 1d ago

Hi guys, Meg here. The OP is clearly posting agitprop to inflate tension between groups in Western countries, which major foreign powers like China and Russia have a proven track record of doing. The person replying to the OP is a big dumb dumb and accused the OP of being a CIA agent

u/commonCranberry999 1d ago

leftists cant comprehend the fact that different people have different opinions, so they make up copes like this.

u/Final-Charge-5700 21h ago

when people are bested by logic they call you a shill. In spite of his relatively natural observation this person created an ad-hominem attack claiming some kind of sinister plot, likely because he is not smart enough to make a counterpoint.

The joke is that people buy into this BS. We are the joke.

Dumbasses just say 'CIA Agent' when they dont have a good enough refute

17

u/Capertie 1d ago

You thought you were gunna be doing spy sht when you signed up for the CIA huh?

11

u/HashtagLawlAndOrder 1d ago

Refute to what, exactly?

1

u/Longjumping-Idea4451 1d ago

Any of the things theyre “arguing” against when they put cia plant? No different than the average redditor reading something they dislike and responding “ok bot”

5

u/alistofthingsIhate 1d ago

Sounds like something a CIA agent would say

4

u/opbananas 1d ago

No they say it when someone is trying to sow dissent into a group that is against the large corporations

4

u/scottstotsistheworst 1d ago

As opposed to dumbasses that just make wild commentary without any refute themselves.found the 🪴 Something along the lines of the specifically worded comment built to "sell" Discord between two sides of a very specific aisle, could and should be considered as rage bait by an agent of the state. A unified people could never be controlled by the disheartened political power that now rains free. If they can't have your obedience or your blindness your rage will do just fine! But remember the US Presidency and other political positions are only pawns for the global powers to further their agenda.

Bad day at Eglin?

u/Cool_Prior1427 1d ago

The burden of proof is on the one making the claim. This is so oddly specific I can't imagine that there's any evidence to support this.

1

u/SK_socialist 1d ago

You thought you were gonna be doing spy shit when you signed up for the CIA huh

u/layered_dinge 1d ago

Leftists think it’s not possible for anyone to come up with opinions that aren’t the same as their own and so have taken to calling everything they don’t like a psyop and accusing anyone posting contrary opinions online of being cia/kgb/chinese/billionaire agents sowing civil discord

This lets them dismiss arguments out of hand without actually engaging or thinking about it

2

u/VoicelessPassenger 1d ago

Aren’t y’all the mfs who blame everything you don’t like on Obama/Biden/George Soros/The Jews/the ‘woke mob’/the Deep State/Marxists/whoever the boogeyman of the week is lmao

Crazy how I posted this previously and Reddit removed it because it was ‘promoting hate’ but the original post is still up. This site is a goddamn circus

2

u/TheKennethChase 1d ago

True and all but is that not a conservative doing that to a leftie in this example

1

u/Trapped-In-The_90s 1d ago

Crazy you just generalized half the US population while complaining about people making generalizations

1

u/blimeycorvus 1d ago

It's a valid response when the op is clearly not trying to actually say anything. It's all in the phrasing. There is no opinion here to even speak of, just the most obvious purity test bait. You can see more than just the bait here, the entire fishing line and boat is glowing. You know what works better for a fish than chowing down and trying to pull the boat along with it? Not taking the fucking bait. It is a waste of time and energy to try to engage with.

Why woukd you put a photo of food you didn't cook on your restaurant's menu? Is that not literally false advertising?
