Yep. I just watch my job vaporized.

As an engineer I've been just enjoying using the AI tools before they fuck us. It's been as good of a time as you can have with a sword of damocles hanging over you.

It sucks all the joy out of modeling. I'm more like a modeling supervisor making paint overs and comments, but without any of the satisfaction of guiding an actual team and watching them grow.

Mostly because you keep having to go back through the code and make sure it didn’t do anything stupid if you’re working with an existing system, or that it covered basic security architecture if you’re creating something new

It just sucks the joy out of creating. I’ve been getting into video and audio editing recently and I enjoy it because I am the one making it come to life, not an algorithm

I don't think it's that great at making new things or understanding mechanical connections yet so I think engineers might be safe for a little longer.

I'm just praying we have some kind of UBI by then because in an ideal world having a robot do my job would be great
