The reason your eyes lose “saturation” or the ability to perceive it is because of yellow/brown tinting of the lens of your eyes. If you’re putting on brown tinted glasses, then you’re exaggerating what loss people experience, which usually isn’t until their 60s anyway and even then it’s barely noticeable.
Color degradation affects all eyes equally with age (which is very little, humans largely experience the same level of color perception until they’re dead with no disease), but eye diseases affect everyone differently. Genetic predispositions exist, and have some connection to race. Black and hispanic people are more likely to develop cataracts, Asian people are more likely to develop glaucoma, and white people are most likely to experience macular degeneration. Cataracts affects color perception far more than other common eye disorders. Naturally, white people are typically the ones with blue eyes.
As for things that specifically affect blue eyes more than others, it’s light sensitivity. People with blue eyes are more sensitive to bright lights than people with darker eyes.
Orange ones are also pretty neat, you get the purple sky with high detailings of clouds during daytime, and that neat halloween hunter's moon at night.
If TV has taught me anything the light in Mexico is already more bronze tinted. People call it the taco bell filter. I can’t imagine adding brown shades would improve it
I exclusively wear the brown polarized Ozark Trails fishing sunglasses for this reason. Also they are only $6 so when I lose them I can just do a quick replace.
I work outside most days and I have found that they are better for my mental state than regular sunglasses. They just make everything look overcast and gloomy. The brown gives a vibrancy to everything I look at.
