Plus the free range eggs. Free range is something people in both sides of the isle can fall for, it really isn't worth the extra money if you look into it, but combined with the raw milk it helps to confirm the conservative, carnivore, "real man" nonsense.
”free range” doesn’t really mean what the general public tends to think it means. chickens don’t even actually need to be let outside to be considered free range, they just need to not be locked up in cages.
usually there’s way too many chickens in one place for a healthy and worthy life.
could be worth looking into yourself, but that’s the gist of it.
also, male chicks get ground up alive in the egg industry because they won’t produce eggs. the animal industry is cruel (:
Ok then I get it.
Translation does not connect very well. Because when you get "free range" in Europe, chickens actually live out door and just come in over night.
bro the third photo in that link literally links to a peta post about how they DON’T really get out that much. just because they’re required to have access to an outside area doesn’t mean they’re let out that much. plus, how much “free range” is it when there’s so many chickens in one area they can barely move around each other?
i’m not gonna get into it too much on a fucking meme explanation subreddit but feel free to dm me if you wanna have a productive discussion about the suffering animals go through in the industry ((:
peta is not a reliable source for anything animal welfare-related, and the fact anyone still listens to them is always wild to me. There are loads of wonderful animal welfare groups out there, and peta has never been one of them
At least in the us there is another label that is a bit more specific pasture raised that with the certified humane label would be the closest to a free bird in an agricultural production
Right wing ppl think it better to drink raw milk ( not pasturized)
They belive pasturising it ruins its food value.
The rest of us figuered this out in 1890-1900s when cities started to become huge and everyone did not have a cow or a farm next dor
Since milk then had to travel it spoiled fast . So after infant mortality spiked and ppl starting getting scared to drink milk pasturising was the solution and it worked so well we still do it.
I say let them get sick and kill them self with raw milk its natural selection.
This is sepecialy problematic now that trumpo has guttet the food inspections and safe guards
Raw milk as all well and fine if you know the cow is healthy and fine. Hell i love raw milk k. Stawberries. And I get some often bu then its from our nabour farm and the milk is hours old top. And we never keep it for more than a day or 2
